Sunday Stealing.. Vicks? Would that be Eduardo Vicks? No?

POP TARTS

If you'd like to play along, go HERE

1. What's the coldest temp you've experienced?
Mark Twain once said that the coldest winter he'd ever experienced was summer in San Francisco.
Me?  I guess that overnight temperature of 18°F, in the Astrovan at the parking lot near Mt. Palomar Observatory.   Frozen!

2. What's for dinner tonight?
Pasta with chicken meatballs and Salad.  This would be tomorrow night, actually.  We like accuracy in our reporters here at Sunday Stealing.  Tonight, it's potluck.

3. Would you consider moving to Australia?
If I were young?  Yes.  Like, in a heart beat!  Now I only want to move to the Upper part of California.  Which is a lot like parts of Australia, actually.  SoCal is ruined.

4. What was your favorite subject in high school?
Just one?  Geometry, English Lit, and  History.  Science was pretty BLAH in high school.  It was WAY better in college.  Geology and Anthro!

5. How many hours a day is your tv on?
It's on a couple of hours in the evening. 8pm until 10pm usually... We are watching "Once Upon a Time", and "Designated Survivor" on Netflix.  The second one is  a lot better than the first but the first hath it's charm... if you like evil witches.  They are both stories about the fight of Good against Evil, so maybe are more alike than not.

6. Have you ever received an award?
If I did, I can't remember... probably not, but maybe?  I received  Rock Hound of the Year award, twice.  It came with a plaque.

7. Whats your mousepad look like?
It's a rectangle and sort of floral but an abstract floral.  I didn't pick it out.  but now I'm glad that it does it's job well, just sitting there being quiet and relatively mono-toned.

8. How many browser tabs do you have open right now?
Six of them.  I just usually open another browser when I want to do research or something here...

9. If you are a parent, have you or did you ever put Vicks VapoRub on your children under the age of 2?  No.

10. As an adult, do you like the scent of Vicks VapoRub? No.

11. If you had to pick one insect to infest your house for 1 day and after that day they would just suddenly vanish, which insect infestation would you pick?
Lady Bugs!
FROM HERE
which explains why houses get winter lady bug visitors.

12. What color is your underwear that you are wearing right at this moment?
Charcoal gray.  Trés chic, yes?

  1. I'm curious, what ruined southern CA? I can't say I've ever wanted to visit that part of your state, anyway. I've always like the images I've seen of the coastal areas in the northern part, though. I hope that part remains lovely.

    1. The "City Falthers" in L.A. did. Los Angeles is along side some of the most beautiful little coastal cities anyone could ask for, Stacy. And, it even gobbled some of them up. It eventually even gobbled up parts of the other, older inland cities, like Anaheim, Alhambra, San Gabriel and probably Whittier. It destroyed so much. That's why I say SoCal is ruined. Read about Mulholland for one, and the water wars. That was part of it all. Here's a link to copy and follow...

I don't think any other city in California was so destructive, but next in line would be San Diego. San Francisco more or less kept it's head.

    1. Helloooo Mz Kwizgiver... That's the way I feel about Once Upon A Time. And I'm part way through the second season. I think, "How much longer can they drag this out?" But, I really love the job some of the actors are doing in this. And then some of them are graduates of the Bad Actor's School, for sure.. lol

  7. I thought about lady bugs but they have a smell that bothers me so I dismissed them for that reason. It is so weird how cities/communities end up messing up what they have, always searching for something else, I guess. Think that is what is going on now in the entire world; so many people can't stand change but yet change is what they are seeking and they don't even know it. Not sure how I got off on that subject . . .

When Americans themselves can't go anywhere to escape what comes, only then will they understand, the Earth is FINITE!
I think it might be a wake up call for some of them in their Isolationist attitude.
"The Earth is the Lord's", and all those other platitudes being thrown about may finally mean something....
After all, we can't have an army making money for munition and arms merchants by going out and bombing and killing in the name of liberty, all the while being used as meat puppets by the elite, forever.
At some point, our warriors will catch on to this dog and pony show. I feel terrible for soldiers. I wish that they could all just come home and collapse this industry in on itself.

Ike warned us.....And so MANY years ago.......sad isn't it?
