ASK ANYTHING

From The Question Meme

1. What Did You Have For Lunch?
I didn't usually eat lunch.  Not being young anymore, I don't need it.  But have a piece of fruit or something small in the middle of the afternoon.

2.  Do You Dance In The Car?
Not anymore.  But I could really rock that van at one time in my life.

3.  Favourite Animal?
I like so many.  But I guess I would really miss wild birds and domestic dogs and tame and wild horses.

4.  Do You Watch The Olympics?
I used to.  I'm not interested in them anymore.  It makes the crosswords harder.  But that's easy to live with.

5.  What Time Do You Usually Go To Bed?
At 10 pm.  But I read, knit, or spin through social media until around 12:30 am.

6.  Are You Wearing Makeup Right Now?
No. And,  I never wore more than eye makeup or lipstick when I was younger, and I'm not going to wear any of that other stuff, either, now that it would have to be a half inch thick to make any difference.

7.  Do You Prefer To Swim In A Pool Or The Ocean?
I always preferred the Ocean.  There's nothing like the Pacific to swim in.  It's magnificent.

8.  What Was The Last Thing You Ate?
I ate a builder's bar with an Orange this morning.

9.  Bottled Water Or Tap Water?
We drink filtered tap water.  We have a Brita app for that.. just kidding! ;o)  I did find this one though, and it really works!

10. What Makes You Happy?
Hanging with my Hubby, chasing big bad monsters around the ancient British Countryside.
Being in Santa Cruz with my kids; just being there is like the biggest High.
Knowing that Jesus is real.  It makes the "World of Man" seem like a pointless, useless realm, which of course, it is.  Go SEE WHAT I MEAN

11. Did You Like Swinging As A Child? Do You Still Get Excited When You See A Swing Set?
No, I don't get exited about swing sets but I really did like to swing on one when I was younger.

12. Do You Work Better With Or Without Music?
Now?  I work better without it.  But  before, when I wasn't worried about driving my dog or someone else deaf, I used to love to have music on ALL the time, and fairly high volume at that.

13. Do You Make Your Bed In The Morning?
Almost always.

14. Do You Like Your Music Loud?
See Question 12.

15.Do You Fear Thunder / Lightning?
Not at all.  I actually like it.  I come from a long line of storm watchers.  My mother and her sisters loved stormy weather.  But the storms that are coming, because of the Land and Ocean temps and currents that are generating them, are going to be much more massive.  Maybe it's time to be afraid.

  1. Our tv's/DSL have been hit by lightning a few times and yes the are plugged into a surge protector. I don't like it when it shakes the house. If it is far off, I do love to watch it. It is so beautiful. Loved your answers! Happy Easter!

    1. Yikes! That's reason enough to not like the sound of thunder, and the flash of Lightening. Once, when the trees were still there, lightening flashed down the trunk of one, and hopped over to the electric meterbox and fried it before racing into the ground on the ground wire. I guess it wasn't wired properly. Happy Easter!

  2. I love storms, too. Ours have certainly become much worse, alas. I try not to worry about that, though.

    1. I think they are getting worse all over the place. One of the reasons we've been happy about taking any storm that comes our way is that it's so dry here we are the national tinderbox.

    1. Oh goodie! I'm glad to know that your blog is updated. I think I once I had a little Feedly link but it must have gotten tossed for some reason. I'm so glad to hear from you. I'm not good at writing letters anymore at all. Happy Easter PJ!

  5. My friend Spewgie and I headed out for the beach in Los Angeles. Hopped on the freeway. We had one of those map books where you have to jump from page C27 to E45 to continue. By the time Spewgie found the next page we were two exits beyond where we were supposed to be. Good thing Balboa or Pizzaro or whoever it was had a head start.

We finally got to the beach and put out our blanket. "Let's go for a dip!" Every time we got past our knees the lifeguards would start barking into their megaphones.

I like the Pacific better in Hawaii.

    1. Hi, and thanks for your nice comment and story about oceans.
Oh yes, the wild blue Pacific has a winter temperature and current here on this coast that is no tropical sea. And, since being caught in two riptides, I'd say that for them (the life guards) to yell, there must have been a deadly rip running. I learned to pay HUGE attention to the way the water's running. And, no, this side of the ocean has a big current that runs all the way up from Peru. Very cold and powerful. Hawaii is a paradise.. I wish we'd moved there in the 60's. lol

  6. Boy, I know I'd probably be babbling in a corner somewhere if I didn't believe Jesus is real. He is the only thing that makes sense of this mess.
I like storms, too, but agree...we are having more and more bad ones. A few of them make me a little nervous.
    Happy Easter, Zippi!

    1. Totally agree with you about babbling in a corner if not for that rock solid conviction.
Storms are getting hell-like and not just the states but everywhere. The Arctic is really catching it, and really Antarctica is changing rapidly as well. To have watched the naysayers never changing, butthead arguments practically since IGY, has been heartbreaking.

  7. The eggs in the picture are so pretty! Do people feel bad eating eggs that are that well decorated?
True that the weather is getting far worse. Climate change is scary.

    1. You've raised and interesting question. I do know that most of the highly decorated eggs are either blown out and then decorated and shellaced, or they are wooden, as are these. Don't feel bad about that because I had to go look at them closely to be able to tell, they are that nice...
And the weather is going to get far worse. We are watching a show about a guy who went through the Northwest passage, and the series turned out to be VERY interesting. The amount of denial in the Oilagarchy is astounding.
