It's been CANCELLED this year.
Since I was raised on a small farm, I love to have chickens or ducks around. We've never been able to have any chickens until a few years ago when a city ordinance was passed that made it legal to have them and certain other livestock in our gardens. I was especially interested in two mini goats and five chickens.
Our family once had a pet duck when I'd rescued her from being pecked to death by other ducks. We called her Jemima and she would lay us gorgeous eggs for our omelets on a regular basis. I was working for Project Wildlife at the time and always had an eye out for animals in trouble. She was in trouble, torn up and badly in need of rescue.
During the pandemic, cities other than ours, where you could have anything but a Horse in your back yard already, have been allowing people to have unusual pets, and THIS article, From the Washington Post, tells about the many coping strategies that folks have used, in this Covid19 Pandemic, to help their nerves and sanity.
Enjoy!
