Executive attempt to usurp Congressional power of the Purse.

She blamed Mr. Vought and Mr. Trump for undermining the division of powers — Congress passes spending laws, and the president is supposed to carry them out.”

This is a pretty fundamental understanding of this issue since the beginning of the founding of the United States of America.🇺🇸

This is a letter in response to an article in the New Year Times on Brazil’s fantastic President.

“Let’s not miss what’s truly alarming in Trump’s recent remarks about Brazil: he suggests, almost offhandedly, that a president should interfere with court decisions — and speaks as if that were perfectly normal. So what stands out isn’t just what he says, but what he takes for granted. He assumes the executive should override the judiciary — not as a bold or controversial move, but as standard practice. The idea that courts should operate independently seems to have eroded so completely in his worldview that he now expects others to abandon it too. This isn’t just indifference to democratic norms — it’s their inversion. Trump doesn’t merely ignore checks and balances; he actively encourages their dismantling. That he no longer sees any need to defend this position is perhaps the clearest sign of how deeply he has internalized — and now exports — a fundamentally authoritarian logic.”

 I had to read it twice before I could contain my emotions over what Trump and his short sighted policies  have done to our standing among Nations.  The U.S. will never recover its once exalted status as a beacon of hope or fairness.  Maybe it never deserved it?  Though I think, personally that  it was.  I remember how respected that our soldiers were in Europe.
