In our excursions around the yarn shops in Santa Cruz at the end of September we found this lovely soft and fuzzy yarn. It is so soft that it might not really make a sturdy sock but why not try, right? I've sent it off to the DD to see if it fits, and if it does I'll start on the other one right away. If it doesn't fit, it's frog, frog frog on that one and start on smaller needles on the mate.
My DD, in the pictures, who knit her first sock while we were there has completed two pair, declares them pretty easy, and is working on a third pair, for herself this time. The only problem she says she has is that they are not coming out the same length. That is easy to solve.
The other pairs were given away. One pair went to a friend for a birthday, and one pair to her sister who was begging for them right away before they were off the needles. I hope her twin sister will try knitting some socks soon, too, because, well, it's just a lot of fun to make socks.
