Evening was definitely coming, so this last picture was taken. Then El Jeffe, a gentle man who had spent a long time studying all of the desert flora and fauna and was an expert botanist, invited us into the little museum for a drink of cactus pear juice. It was tasty and tart. Prickly Pear Cactus is one ingredient used in Jamaica drinks that you can get at taco shops.

El Jeffe didn't really study botonists! LOL!! Had to change that!

    Karen, I'm hoping that you will get to see the Southwest yourself someday. Fall is the best time of all to come as it's not too hot and not too cold.

    This trip was taken in the late Winter, and we nearly froze our keesters off. ;-)
