This, my friends, is where Lost Coast begins, at the point where Highway 1 turns in away from the coast and heads to the dark interior, the redwood forests.
We, too, love the coast of Cal, and we've spent time body surfing and surfing in quite a few places but not above Central Coast, Lost Coast or even Mendocino. Brrr! You are brave for many reasons besides the colder waters!
DH loved to surf when he was young. It's a grand sport.
