Yes, this is pathetic, but it did take me a half day to get it cast on. And I've ripped back to the 18 stitches over and over again ( drama!) after making it up to the first patterns rows. I sooooo want it off the DPNs so that it will be easier.

I messed up my theme.
And I can’t get the old one back. Hope this is readable. Still working on it. Tried something from the P.C.and that was a MISTAKE,

“I Won’t Be The One to Let Go” Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it here . Pretty song, Sam. I love both of these singers. Anyon...

Good luck. I've had a couple of projects that started like that.
ReplyDeleteHi ar. you have made more than a few lace thing things haven't you? I've made small things, like children's sweaters, hats, and baby blankets in lacey yarn over repeats but nothing like this one. I love this pattern so much that there's no way it will become a wadder, but it could become a semi permanent UFO. :=(
ReplyDeleteHow are you coming with your project? Thanks for the comments on my blog regarding my hand pain. And to answer your questions, hitting the numbers on my computer are so second nature (I've been doing it for 30 years) I don't know how I hit the keys.
ReplyDeletecpaknit, thanks for stopping by. My project is not progressing beyond what I posted. I did do more on the gloves. We had a computer repair down at my sister's house, and when we got home we wanted to just veg!
ReplyDeleteAlso, thanks for answering my question. I was thinking that if your work and the knitting didn't give your hand enough recovery time, your thumb might have pains below the pad, especially if you hit the "0" with the side of your thumb all the time, and gripped the needles with it, too. Hope it's getting better.
Is this Gretchen? I'm so sorry....
ReplyDeleteWould this help?

Oh thank You Del! I did something wrong in the cast on row that gave me a ridge. So then from there on, I knew it wasn't right. Now I know what's wrong. She's so beautiful I can't set it aside. This is the year for Gretchen. :o)
