Well, I came out 80% cat, which isn't surprising (at least to me).
ReplyDeleteI don't know where the mystery point is but it's lovely. Oddly enough, it made me remember a painting series I saw at a political art exhibit at the San Jose museum of modern art--the artist did a series of paintings of California prisons, but did them all in an English romantic landscape style, so it took one a good few moments to realize what one was looking at.
Is the weather ok down your way? We're roasting up here, which makes me think you may have it even worse.
sarah-hope, 80% cat is great! I used to be more cat than dog when I was younger. Then I joined the rockhounds and developed "pack mentality". =o) Yes, it reeks of Pun.
ReplyDeleteSan Jose has a good many great exhibits. Someday I'll get a chance to go look them all over. The one you describe is very intriguing. DDs went to an exhibit last week of drawings by a Mexican migrant worker who was institutionalized during the Great Depression. Impressive and sad at the same time.
Oh yes, the weather is getting hot down here. It was a treat to go pick up some new addi lace needles (and some Malibrigo- heehee) down by the seashore. It was fairly cool down there.
That picture is really sort of a trick. Our now ubiquitous Eucalypts have made Central Coast very like "somewhere else". I will tell everyone in a couple of days. The picture struck me as very central coast like.
