In The Beginning
Dh took all of these with our Canon. Isn't it wonderful to have a little Moon so close that you can see the features with the naked eye? It gave us our first clue about the truth of the Universe we live in.
Hi Liz, I worked hard getting them backwards. ;o) hehe
Camera: It's a PS SE IS. IS is the biggie! It takes great piccies and is smaller and lighter than a regular 35mm with a 200mm lens. The moon, even in daylight, shines on like a champ.
Hi Rachel, thanks for your nice comment on the pix. Moonwatching is an insomniac's sport but even this one was way too late for me. After waking DH up at 2 am I fell asleep! He said, don't you want to take the pictures? HA! I woke up again when he came inside at about 3 am but then fell back to sleep.
Thank you to your hubby for doing all the work! Appreciate it much!
I accidently drank coffee that night and stumbled upon the lunar eclipse news online, so i stayed up. Our shadow came down from the top and the puppies all had a walk but i'm not sure if they were observing the moon, we did take a sit outside tho. neighbors thought we were looking into her patio, came out with her dog and i explained, hehheh...i went to bed a tad early and missed the red moon part. i thought it would never come back. next time, perhaps... :)
Pugknits, you are welcome, and I will tell DH to look at the comments. He had a good time snapping pix, once he was totally awake. The orange moon I've only seen a couple of times, both of them in the desert.
Ah. Guess I read your posts in the wrong order. :)
ReplyDeleteYou must have a great zoom on that Canon!

Thanks for the moon pics--I can never get my act together to see these things live.
