Hi Meribeth, I had the same feelings and resulting tears. I hope more when I look around at the so called common folk, helping each other and building networks to improve lives.
I don't really think it's politicians that can save humanity. They have, or get, too many strings attached to them, early on, and the higher they go, the worse it gets. Those strings are attached to bags and BAGS of money. That money usually has a negative agenda.
It will be the myriad people of Earth, working together, who will really move forward the agenda of Peace and Reconciliation, as well as that of Compassion and the knowledge that in Diversity, the greatest strength dwells.
These are very timely discussions, since UAW is being ramrodded, and will lose either way it goes unless Bush is stopped from letting the car manufacturers back out of their commitments everywhere, and file bankruptcy.
The union will lose either way, but probably less so IF the car manufacturers don't get to shut down ( go into bankruptcy) and coelece in some other very familiar form "down the road".
Isn't he terrific?! The first time I saw it, I had tears in my eyes. The second time I saw it I was with DH, and he had tears in his eyes.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it is hard to keep Hope, but there are those in the world who show us how easy it is.

And come back out of the corner. You did fine!
