Yesterday I had some fun in the kitchen. This is a recipe from the web. Although it tastes absolutely delicious, the next time I make it I'll use the grating blade on the food processor, and only cook it 5 to 6 minutes. I had to rescue it from turning into Turkish Delight with the timely addition of some water. The orange it was made from is a Navel orange just about the same size as the one sitting next to the jar.
Here's the URL for the recipe but there are others. Be aware that if you have a "hot" microwave, you will want to cook it a shorter period of time.
I wonder if I could chop it up using one of those hand choppers (that you pound on to chop) -- was it yummy --
ReplyDeleteHiya's, Rho. Oh yes, it is yummy; it's very fresh tasting. Also, you could do it with the little chopper in small batches. That should work well and save all the juice, too. Be sure to get all the seeds out. I left one in for a little "crunch".. actually I flubbed at getting them all.
ReplyDeleteI was going to chop it up with my biggest chef's knife but lo and behold, Hubster announced that he was going to spring for a food processor. I think he's afraid of me handling the big knives, eh?
What a pretty photo that is - so zen-like, your kitchen counter!
ReplyDelete(((hugs)))
Knitnanna, ((hugs back)) and thanks for your nice comment about the cabinets.
ReplyDeleteI so wish my life could all be more Zen like. I'm too obsessed with china teapots and glass chickens.. sigh. teehee
