Wolfie in his new life....

This little guy was a victim of extreme neglect. But, his hair will grow back in and he will be gorgeous, and he will probably not lose any more teeth. He's already beautiful on the inside. He is a rescue and he's wonderful. He is one of the happiest little dogs I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.

He saw his vet today, and he's on the road to being fully mended. We have a wonderful vet and her staff is just terrific, also. Wolfie is in very good hands.

He's probably under five years old, and was a stray. I don't think he's ever seen a vet in his short little life. He is a Yorkiepoo.

  1. What a sweetheart--I take it he lives with you now?

  2. Yes, Sarah-Hope, he has come home to stay in his forever home. And we love this little guy very much. He rewarded us by wagging his tail for the first time tonight. Very sweet!

He still sometimes looks somewhat like a wombat, and we are a bit shocked but all his lovely soft fur will grow back in and he will look just like the rest of those little Yorkiepoos do.

  6. Thank you for your comment, Gnat, and yes, he is a lovely little fellow and smart in the bargain.

He will have fun learning new things but we will have to break him of trying to eat things like fish scales out of the grass and snapping up anything that faintly smells of food. We keep guessing at his life in the months and years before he found us.

It breaks the heart to think that there are little packs of feral dogs out there along the rivers and freeway culverts, trying to keep from starving.

I Love you blog about dogs! I read a bit of it day before yesterday.
