I was working in the oil & gas industry in 2008 and thought at the time that there was no logical reason why prices were going so high. Probably there will be no repercussions in Texas because those high prices benefit anyone with an interest in oil - most of Texas, including the state school systems and county operations. Sucks for non oil producing states though. I think it happened again this year too.

ReplyDeleteIt happened every single year that it could be got away with I'm sure. So, yes, this year and God only knows what other years.
Yes, that Texas power base got a hold on Washington DC, as well. Texas has a lot of people who are not on this gravy train, though. They suffer from a lack of services and high prices for commodities when and if anything is brought into the state, as all oil and gas prices are passed through to consumers no matter where they live.
And fraud is fraud. It's not something to be proud of, as any of those church going billionaires, or their families, should know.
