"Ocean of Pearls"

One World... in the interest of inner peace, and thereby world Peace.

We watched this beautiful film last night.  It's not new, having been released in 2008, or so.  I tried to find it free on line, as I'd heard it was available.  Alas, I did not find it.  But, it's available through Netflix!

The story is fiction, or so the opening credits say.  About 15 minutes into the film the real journey- a path to inner peace- begins for Amrit Singh, the main character.  He is a young Canadian surgeon who has come to Detroit to present a revolutionary new method of keeping donor organs viable for transplant many hours longer.  He's also one of the top transplant surgeons in the world.   It's quite easy to see the film is not actually fiction when an all too familiar "mugging" takes place, and the main character is robbed of his revolutionary work by a heartless crew of Hospital Administrators.  But do not be alarmed.  The message goes well beyond this act of piracy.

The word for God in the Sikh religion means Truth in English.  And please be sure to watch, and listen, to the credits at the end.  The art and the music are gorgeous, and so is the part of the message, : "We are All One".  That is, indeed, the message on which the Sikh religion was founded.
