Saturday Nine: Clothes Horse? Me?

Believe

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!
Welcome to the first Saturday 9 of 2014!

1) In 1998, Cher became the oldest woman to top the Billboard Hot 100 with "Believe." She was 52 at the time. At what age do you think you did hit/will hit your prime?
This year.  I have something brand new to work on, and I understand what happened to me when I was 27, so, finally ..awareness!  I'm in my prime right now!
2) Cher is as well known for her outrageous outfits as for her singing. What's the latest piece of clothing you added to your wardrobe?
A new top for Christmas two years ago, and some new silks.  I hate clothes shopping.

3) Cher credits her unique looks to her diverse ethnicity. Her father was Armenian and her mom is English/German/Cherokee. From where did your ancestors come?

I am Welsh,Irish,Scottish,English,Dutch,French,Spanish, and Native American Pueblo.

4) When she was a little girl, Cher produced and starred in a schoolyard production of Oklahoma. Were you involved in drama or theater in school?

Yes, I played a witch in a school play.  It was loads of fun.

5) Cher is open about her plastic surgery, speaking freely about having had her breasts 'done', her nose bobbed and her teeth straightened. If you could change one physical feature about yourself, which would it be? And what would you never change, under any circumstances?
I would change nothing regarding my looks.  I would change the fact that I got on a horse owned by a friend who should have known better than to let others ride it.  That ride changed my whole body for worse!

6) There's a stubborn rumor, often denied, that Cher had a rib removed so that she could maintain her long and lean silhouette. What's the most outrageous thing anyone has said of you?

If they said it, I never knew what it was.  I don't know if that's good or bad.  hmmm?

7) When she was a kid, Cher practiced her autograph. Do you have a clear, legible signature? Or is it more of a scrawl?
My penmanship is still good, if I take my time.  I can write with both hands but not at the same time, like Da Vinci.

8) Cher asks, "Do you believe in life after love?" Crazy Sam's question is easier and less profound: Do you believe in luck?
I believe in a loving Father-like God, Jesus and his messages - he left many lessons in those messages - and Karma, one of those messages.  Luck?  Only in games.  I have an unlucky avatar in a game.  It's quantifiable.

9) Did you make any resolutions for 2014?

Yes, the few that I posted earlier.  Plus, I've decided to choose a word, "Listen", for this year as a guiding word for interactions of all sorts and degrees.

  1. I think playing a witch in a school play would indeed be great fun!

    1. It was. In the play my character was called Wiggins. So fun!

  2. I used to LOVE shopping for clothes--now I just don't have the patience. And trying to find a pair of jeans or a bra that fits--mission impossible! :-)

    1. I hear your pain. I'm to the point of having custom made Levi's made IF the company still does that. I hate bras anyway, and the last two were like IRON wrapped in barbed wire until I washed them over and over again in the whites for 8 months. DH said, "Why don't you just throw them out into the street in the middle of the night and let traffic run over them for a couple of weeks?

  3. I think it's a good thing you haven't heard any gossip about yourself.

    1. I agree with you. With my ethnic mix it was murder to just live through school in Los Angeles County, let alone hear what people were saying about me behind me back. My scout troop was a safe haven. Without them, I couldn't have done it.

  5. My theme for the year is "expression." I love having a single word to contemplate throughout the year.

    1. Maybe all the anti shoppers could meet up, form a conga line at Mall of America, and sing tunes from Reverend Billy's Church of No Shopping? Yay!
