Tuesday Tails... or how to torture yourself daily...

I want one of these- one to go with Wolfie.  I'll take really good care of her, I promise!

I've found a sudden interest in Area 51.  Got the Documentaries, web pages, the book by Annie Jacobson, got a blog...  I'm set!  Mr. Z and I have seen an UFO while we stood in our front yard in 1970, so I want to know more!

Tuesday is also ceramic day but there is nothing to report.

Tort report:  The "twins" are spending lots of time during the last few days outside but they have a special enclosure to protect them from anything that might want to make a little meal of them.  A Crow can still pick them up and fly away with them.  Well, a crow could get Dusty who is whimpy sized compared to Milagro, who is more like a Big Mac.  I will take a picture of their Zoo enclosure tomorrow and try to post it soon.  It's nothing fancy but it does give them a chance to live in the tall grass for a little excitement.

  1. One of our sisters grew up at a mine in Area 51. Her family still owns the mine but their access to their own property is severely restricted. They have to notify the government when they are going to the property and how long they are going to be there. She has talked to various groups over the years about her Area 51 experiences. One of those interviews is on the internet. I'll look for a link and post here when I find it.

I want one of those little whie cuties in the basket. Living in a convent with people who are allergic or afraid of animals precludes me from ever having one again. I hope that you can get another and that Wolfie is willing to accept her......blessings.....

  2. Thank you so much for the interesting information on Area 51's impact on a land owner near it. I'll be very happy to have that URL, too.

Now some of the people involved who thought it was wrong to hide what happened there in the first place (this probably happened in some part for cronies elsewhere to be able to profit from it) are speaking out. An incredible amount of money has gone into this thing, all out of the taxpayer's pocket.

About dogs: I probably won't be able to have a little white dog. Things have changed in my life, and it's more difficult to imagine having two dogs. You never know though! I wonder that the convent has no little cats. A monastery in France, very old, has a whole lot of them and an older monk feeds them scraps. It was so sweet to see that. Wish you could have the comfort of a few pets, too. Thank you for the Blessing. I'll send you one back along with this Hug.

    1. Took me awhile to find this but here it is: http://www.c-span.org/video/?289389-1/spy-planes-groom-lake

There are a lot of things on the Sheahan family and their health problems online. Sister Barbara talks about the testing. She says that the family would go outside and watch the test (they had been assured that there was no safety issues). The next day people in hazard suits would be combing the hills looking for remnants of the blast. She is currently in her 80's and her last brother just died in 2012.

No pets allowed here. I was reading an article a few years ago about a man who wanted to make some extra money so he started renting out his home appliances and anything that wasn't stationary - including his dog. He had a few customers who would come and pickup his dog regularly and keep him for an hour or two then pay the owner a fee when they brought the dog back home. I've considered dog renting but can't find anyone willing to barter. Oh, well, my sister in Santa Ana has 3 dogs so I get a larger dose of them when I come down there to visit her....shalom.......Diana

This video is over 2 hours long. Sister Barbara talked for about 5 minutes of the time and her presentation is near the end of the video....

  3. Shalom. Thank you for the link! I can understand who pets wouldn't be allowed. Funny story about the man who rented out his appliances and even his dog, but how I wonder if it would be confusing for the little dog. I'm glad your sister has three fur balls to love when you have a get away.
