Reading Antique Books

The Thomas Hardy from the library has been in storage for tens of years.  It's fragile.  And it's so beautifully written that I clutched it to my chest in delight.  What a treasure.

I'm going to re-read all of Thomas Hardy.

    My plan for the summer: re-read "Moby Dick;" work in my tiny garden; knit lace. And not worry for three months. Then it will be back to the old grind, I'm afraid.

    That is brilliant! I'll join you. Mine will be the Manly Beastly and the pink stardust sweaters. And all the Thomas Hardy I can read, plus re-reading "A Suitable Boy." I will plant fall flowers, in a rock bed we throw together along the side fence. Bonzer plans!
