Mr.Z and I love LOVE this comic strip!
This is what Wolfie did on the Fourth of July. He spent a LONG time under my chair. It's one of the biggest reasons that the Fourth is not my favorite holiday. I'm surprised there are any birds left of the Pacific Flyway. Gah!

My aunt killed her little dog when she closed her recliner on him. Horrible! I am very skittish of using recliners anywhere small children or pets are present. We have a wingback recliner that is open underneath, but we rarely ever extend it unless we know exactly where our dog is. He does like to hide under there, too. I agree about the fireworks - more pets run away from home on that day than any other. BTW, nice blog! Therese
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit and comment about the Blog, Therese. And, Oh my Lord! How Terrible! What a horrible experience that was for your Aunt! I'm so sorry for her. No one ever really gets over something like that.
DeleteSince I'm hyper alert and prone to anxiety, it is one of the scenarios that has played through my head forever. I would never have had a recliner around little children even though ours have a cover that encloses the whole mechanism. It was one of the selling points for me because adults have even been injured by that scissors action. Wolfie we watch like a hawk, because, well, he's like a two year old child, and was feral, too. He still has some of the habits of a feral dog, like seeking hidey holes on the Fourth and New Year's Eve.
