Sunday Stealing, from the Easter Bunny

March 26, 2016

Happy Easter Meme

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we try to credit the blog that we stole it from. We also provide a link to the victim's meme in our "Previous Victims" widget. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") Sometimes we edit the original meme, to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, to select the best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from this new meme or recently asked questions from a previously featured meme.

Cheers to all of us thieves!!!

Easter Meme

Stolen from: The Archives...........................

By a band of thieves like no other.  They have stolen from memes across the globe and no one the wiser...  Well, there is Bud who claims to be Wiser, but that actually spelled differently isn't it?  Hmmm????

Anyway, the Easter Meme, and happy Easter to all you thieves!

Five things I have a passion for:
Gee, only five?  Lessee, four DD's and Mr. Z. Done!  But, Number Six is Dogs!  I want six passions darn it! Mother Earth!  Death to all cancer cells in the world!  That's maybe Eight so far.. My Friends! Should I keep going?  And, contrary to what you may think, I have imbibed no intoxicant.  I'm just feeling better for the first time in nearly two months.

Five things I'd like to learn before I die:
How to say, "¿Dónde está el baño?", in German, Russian, Latvian, Chinese, and Hindi.  Seems something handy to know.

Five things I say a lot:
"Oooops!", "Excuse me, please", "Beg Pardon?", "I'm sorry!" and, "Get out of there, Wolfie!"

Five books and/or magazines I've read lately:
I need The Kindle... just a sec... Well, one I know I just read was, Finishing Techniques For Knitters .... Okay...  10% Human, The Wrong Enemy, Circling the Sun, Northanger Abbey

Five favorite movies:
My current favorites are,  "Milagro Beanfield War", "Green Card", "Princess Bride",  "Moon Over Parador", and "Enchanted April" .

Five places I'd like to travel to:
I would like to travel to(and could I also live for one year in each?) Norway, France, Portugal, Bavaria, and Ireland.  Actually I'd like to go to Croatia, too, but that's pushing some line isn't it?

  1. My mom loves Enchanted April, such a good movie. I still need to read Northanger Abbey! Green card is one of my favorite movies too :D I love the Easter picture!

I am so glad you are feeling better. I wish you the very best Easter to you and your family :)

    1. And a very Happy Easter to you and your family, too, Kara.
I feel better because there is a little more hope. Fingers crossed.
All of Jane Austin's books are in files at the Gutenberg project. That is a fabulous collection of books!
Between the three of us we like so many of the same movies. And Downton Abby of course. Heehee

    1. Well, Jennifer, though print books are another unreported passion, I got a kindle a couple of years ago when DD upgraded to a Fire This was because there are so many books in our house we can't fit in any more of them and still stay reasonably sane. Mr. Z. cringes whenever I talk about buying a book somewhere. I've since given DD's paper white to my sister and gotten a Fire so I can read at night and not keep the rest of the household awake. Method in madness?

  3. Have as many passions as you want! We all should be passionate about life in general, don't ya think? But of your list....I'm especially with you on "death to all cancer cells in the world."
I don't know if Croatia is pushing it. I have always wanted to see the Middle East, the cradle of civilization....the ancientness of it makes me swoon...but probably not the best tourist destination for an American these days. :(
    Have a happy Easter, Zippi!

    1. Happy Easter, Stacey! And yes, a passion for life is a human being's closest ally. Croatia was the six one, but I'd like to see it if air travel wasn't involved. I really can't see the others either. Since we don't own our own jet and can't afford first class, there all out. So, where ever the RV goes, I can go.
And yes, death to all cancer cells not in a petrie dish somewhere, or maybe even there?!

    1. Thank you Karen! (((((Big hugs))))) back to you for listening and helping me through this.
"Milagro Beanfield War" is tied with the madcap "Princess Bride" but it was first, alone, for many years.

  5. It's good to have a lot of passions! "Death to all cancer cells": amen.
I loved Northanger Abbey, it's the only Jane Austen I have read.

    1. Hi, Jackie, and, welcome to Sunday Stealing. Also, thank you for visiting and for your comment.
I think this summer I'll reread all of Jane Austin. She was a fabulous, and humorous, observer of English manners of her period. We are lucky her writing didn't fall into permanent obscurity. Her brother got Northanger Abbey published after her death.

  6. There are so many uses for "excuse me". It's a mature way to look somebody down especially if you are vertically challenged like myself.

    1. Ah! So you too are vertically challenged! And yes, there are many uses for that phrase, and many are needed!

    1. Oh Shannon, I'm so sorry to hear your son has been taken from you. This is so terrible and unfair, this wicked devil of a disease. I will keep you close in my thoughts and heart.
I want this world to be cancer free, too!.

  10. We went to Croatia last year (Dubrovnik and Split) and to my amazement they were my favorite places on our cruise. Beautiful country.

Have you seen "Dave"? Its the American version of "Moon Over Parador." Not sure which I like better, but suspect "Dave" because I like Kevin Kline maybe a bit more than Richard Dreyfus (it is also more often played on TV!)

  11. Hi Bev. Actually we own both movies and maybe I'll just watch "Dave" again, since it's on VHS and probably actively decaying as we speak. You're right, it's amazing!

Ah, I'm glad that you got to see Croatia. It's really a little jewel I'm told.

  12. Definitely go to Croatia! It's beautiful. So glad you are feeling better!! ♥

  13. Thank you Smellyann. It's still a terrifying roller coaster ride but you can catch your breath every once in awhile. Well, you know this scary ride intimately. ♥

My Croatian experience began with watching an AMAZING Olympic Woman Skier, Janica Kostelić, The Croatian Sensation, who was breathtakingly fabulous! I've wanted to go see her country ever since that time.
