What’s the tourist attraction nearest you that most people from other places are aware of? Balboa park, with the Zoo and the museums. Also Spanish Village artists colony.
What’s a tourist attraction you’ve visited that was better than you expected? Old Town, I thought they would ruin it but they made it even more fun and an better place for families.
What’s a tourist attraction you’ve visited that was disappointing? I don't like Seaworld. By the by, I was told Disney tried to obtain the land there to build Disneyland but was rebuked. Ha! City council pals had other plans. My economics teacher told us this. Now Disney may buy seaworld? Stay tuned!
What’s a tourist attraction you’re still hoping to visit? Olympic National Park, in Washington.
Excluding restaurants, what tourist attraction you’ve visited had the best food and the best gift shop? The Gas Lamp Quarter, before it changed. And Seaport Village but I believe they've been nerfed by the Port District.

Is San Diego a nice place to visit?
ReplyDeleteOh yes. There are lots of nice things to see and places to eat at here. Sunset Cliffs for the sunset, for instance, is just gorgeous. So are the beaches at La Jolla an Torrey Pines.
ReplyDeleteBut come after September or before June. Otherwise the crowds and the traffic are pretty horrendous. Getting to the beach is a nightmare in summertime. Locals wait to go unless they are desperate.
It's not Central Coast, but it's pretty nice here. If you come do NOT stand or sit under any cliffs at the beaches, though. I don't want you to be buried under rubble.
