Sunday Stealing: Me, a tatoo? idon'thinkso...

Stars Quilt-init purdy?

Hi! I'm your host Bev Sykes of the blog "Funny the World". . Welcome to Sunday Stealing. This feature originated and published on WTIT: The Blog. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. (Past hosts include: Our first - Judd Corizan, Mr. L, Kwizgiver and Bud)  Cheers to all of us thieves!

Blazing Stars

1 - You’re in a tattoo parlor about to get inked. What are you getting done?
Someone else would have to choose because I have clearly lost my mind and can't communicate.

2 - If you could be any character, from any literary work, who would you choose to be?
Dead easy.. I'd be Loracus.

3 - You’re given $10,000…under one condition: you cannot keep the money for yourself. Who would you give it to?
I'd give it to my nieces, for college.  Since giving it to my own kids would probably be a violation of the rule.

4 - If you had to go back in time and change one thing, what would it be?
Had to?  There's no choice here?  Well, if I HAD to, I'd go back and make sure the Romans stayed in their own land, and make sure that they never got out of it.  No ifs, ands or buts.  The genes they spread all over Europe did NO one any good.

5 - If you had to delete one year of your life completely, which would it be?
Wow, another little HAD to... hmmm
Aside from the fact that I don't think anyone should mess with a time line, OK, I'll play...
I would delete the year my mother was sent to California.  I'm sure the God's could take care that all the good things that happened for me (after missing out on a felonious father) would still occur.
Or, In other words,  I'd be given another chance to mess with the timeline to be in the right place, and the right time to meet Mr. Z.  at a party..
My kids would have been a happier lot because I was raised by mom and a sane man who LOVED her.  There would have been LOTS more money because Mr. Z and I would have both finished college and gotten massive degrees and be able to afford the best things.
This IS a fantasy after all, and I can do as I dang well please with the rest of the story line, eh?  Would it make a good movie?  A Blockbuster?

6 - You’re an Action Movie Hero. What’s your weapon of choice and the line you scream when defeating your arch enemy?
I want a handful of what ever that guy up there has for my weapon of choice... and my "line" is:

"Obey the Hand!  Beware it's Power!"

7 - What is the first curse word that comes to mind?
"Heavens to Betsy". And if you believe that you are more ****ed up than you, who wrote this, seem to be.

8 - Would you rather be stranded on a desert island with someone you love for ten years or someone you hate for a month? Explain why.
Ok, this is no more logical than the rest of this, so here goes...  I'll take  ten years with the one that I love.  I have seen that movie, you know.. well, both of them... The Harrison Ford one and the one in which a Basketball was the star.  Well, in truth it was Tom Hanks..
So.....if you have fresh water, fish and seafoods of other stripes, and a few coconut trees, you have things to keep you alive.  And to be with someone you love seems so much more like heaven.  Think about it.. fish, coconut fibers equaling fishing line.. fresh water in a little place at the center, stars, moon, no predators- human or otherwise...Eden, yes?  Otherwise, I'd have to stand trial for killing the person I hated.

9 - 5 things within touching distance:
cell phone,
keyboard,
tea cup,
mouse,
printer.

10 - What are you supposed to be doing right now?
Getting ready to eat dinner.

11 - Currently wanting to see anyone?
I want to see all my kids...

12 - Would you go against your moral code for money?
That wouldn't make me any better a person than say, Donald Trump.  Oh wait. He had no moral code.  Sorry, forgot that part...

13 - What’s more important to you: strength of the body or strength of the mind?
At my age, the strength of mind is of Paramount importance.  I've had the strength of body part long enough to know that it's a poor contender.

14 - How important you think education is?
It's the most important thing that anyone ever does for themselves.  It doesn't matter if you get screwed over by a war or a bad economy; if you get that education, whether it's a trade or a profession, it can't be taken away from you.

15 - If you were the president, what would you do?
Harriet once said it best  Only it was King, or emperor I believe:  "Everybody Eats!"   I would make sure that EVERYONE in this country had enough to eat, every single day....Everyone!

    1. Why thank you, Mz. #7 took some time to do, as I had to climb down out of the "nonplussed" tree first. 😉

    1. Dana, Thank you so much, and, to be honest, I thought Hunger in America would be solved LONG before this time, when the supermarkets were challenged to really make a difference because they were the ones controlling the food markets and THROWING OUT most of the 38 million TONS of food every year that is trashed.
Also, most women seem to GET this, and I must admit a lot of the men, but not the ones that generally stand behind the "curtain", orchestrating our whole democracy.

Well, I have some news for them... "He who is first will later be last"...What is NOT to get in that?????

  6. Great work, Zippi. Education is indeed the most important thing. I hope I never stop learning something new every day.

    1. Absolutely, Education is the key that opens many, many doors. And yes, never stop learning, and learn something new every day. It's energizing.
We have a new tool for education, as some time ago M.I.T. decided to give away knowledge for free. They put it all up on the web, in order to give people all over the world the chance to educate themselves regardless of their ability to pay. It is their whole curriculum. Health, Art, Literature, math, science.
This is the link for anyone who was unaware of it.
