Stolen from Personal Development Magazine
Hi! I'm your host Bev Sykes of the blog "Funny the World". . Welcome to Sunday Stealing. This feature originated and published on WTIT: The Blog. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. Cheers to all of us thieves!
💥 And away we go! 💥
1. A person I like and why I like them...
My sister in law. She's the sweetest person. She also cares a lot about other people and always has. She's very joyful, too.
2. A famous person I’ve been compared to...
The only one I can think of is Liz Taylor. A least a half dozen people in my life have done so. It's weird.
3. Best thing that happened to me this week..
I didn't wake up dead?
4. Weird things I do when I’m alone...
I meditate?
5. How I’d spend $10,000.
I'd bank roll my kids who are all suffering in this pandemic.
6. My last night out in detail....
I think it was Christmas at our Niece's house. It was fun. Since then it's been nothing but Corvid19 and re-runs on Netflix.
7. Something that makes me sad when I think about it....
I'll give you three guesses. Come on, this is interactive after all. I don't want to share anymore sadness that I will with the other questions.
8. Something I’m currently worrying about...
Trump, and his odious crew, stealing another election.
9. Something I do without realizing...
The consequences, the people in earshot, the ??? Well, I will tell you that I daydream in the middle of reading books... connecting invisible dots.
10. A drunken story...
When my daughter died, I finally had to have some relief from living "Life at the Moment". So, I drank a half a bottle of Gin (in the form of Gin and Tonics, which was a lot of them) and with which we had a popcorn dinner.
My younger daughter called, and I told her. She said, "Mom, you don't even drink!" I said yes, but if I didn't drink this time I would run screaming into the night with a butcher knife - or some such nonsense. Anyway, we talked for a long, long time.
1. Something I regret...
I regret not going back to finish my degree after the twins were in school. I really badly regret this.
12. 5 things within touching distance...
Empty rice bowl from lunch, a mug of tea, a box of tissues, the keyboard, and the printer.
13. Something I’ve lied about...
I will sometimes fib about not being mad. It's because I am still struggling with anger inside that desperately WANTS OUT IN THE FORM OF SERIOUS BODILY INJURY.
14. Lyrics that apply to my current mood...
"Make the world go away
Get it off of my shoulders
Say the things we used to say
And make the world, make it go away"
The entire song video is the Posted Link Below this one...
15. My longest relationship...Outside of my family? Ok, that would be the one that I have with my friend Meffie. We go WAY WAY back to when I was 16 and she was 15, in High School. She was an exchange student at my high school. She's grown into an amazing woman who speaks a bunch of languages and translates books into and out of all of them.

Salute to Meffie's longstanding friendship. Hopefully your friendship will last forever. Greetings from Indonesia
ReplyDeleteGreetings Back to ya! And thank you. We've lost touch a few times but through the magic of the internet, we found one another. I've saved all her letters. She's amazing!
DeleteI loooove the honesty of your answers... yes we'd be friends. I am struck by the fact that I am surrounded by the kind of people who openly say they only listen to the president, no other news or experts... the real fear is of kool-aid drinking followers. If they came to, this national horror story would be over.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Yes, it would be over. The American Dream has become the American Nightmare. The covid19 response should have shocked them out of their tree!
DeleteSome of Tman's followers are now waking up, but maybe not enough of them ... This awakening is because they are very good people inside, just like they need to be. They thought he was the answer, but now they see him for what he really is.
Hope you are having a calm Sunday. And the week ahead is good. Yes, we certainly could be friends. :o)
Oh, Zippi, I love your answers!
ReplyDelete♥!! Thank you Ms Kwizgiver! Hope you are getting to relax and to do your favorite things. I'm also reading but my knitting has stalled. lol
DeleteThanks for going first!
ReplyDeleteYou are most welcome! I waited and waited but it got to be "Now or Never". lol Have a great week, Bud. Do something fun with the Twins. *wink*
DeleteLiz Taylor! That is quite a compliment. Awesome. Loved your answers! Happy Labor Day weekend.

Ya, and pretty shocking that so many people thought so. I mean I have brown eyes. We do share some heritage but not that much!
DeleteGlad you enjoyed reading my stuff.
Happy Labor Day Weekend! I'm not sure how close you are to a body or water, but it's strange out there! Stay safe! Hugs!
I don't think meditating is weird.
ReplyDeleteMeditating with a cat on your head might be though.
:o)
Cheers
PM
Buhahahaha! It's probably a good thing that we don't have a cat.
DeleteThat is a long friendship. I have one friendship that is almost as long as my relationship with my husband. But none that go back to school. Not even college.
ReplyDeleteIt really is. I feel lucky that she and I have been able to stay in touch so long. The next longest friendship I have is with my hubby.
DeleteI think of Meffie every day.
I regretted not finishing college too for many, many years, but I have gotten over that. With my decreasing memory, there is no way I could learn something new these days.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great compliment, being mistaken for Liz Taylor. can't get much better than that!
I know that feeling of regret. The thing for me is that the money I could have earned would have ensured that all the kids wouldn't have had to fight so hard to get an education, practically on their own. Now, it hardly holds much importance.
DeleteAbout Liz: It was shocking to me that so many people- unrelated to each other - have remarked on the Liz Taylor resemblance; I still can't figure that out but, as i said, we share some heritage, so that has to be it. I can see it sometimes in black and whites.
I'm sorry to hear about the memory things you are having. (((BIG HUGS))) Sorry you couldn't go celebrate with your mom.
Liz Taylor? That's epic! I so enjoyed your song choice!
ReplyDeleteI love the song writer, and yes, it's really a wonderful song. Glad you enjoyed it.
DeleteWish Liz and I could have had a talk. heehee
I try not to think about what happens if Trump is re-elected. I mean, I have to sleep sometime and that would keep me up!
ReplyDeleteI'll hope, with you, that everyone who was hoodwinked into not voting for a perfectly fine woman candidate (obviously, most of us did...) will throw this piece of PATAK out of office on his ear and straight into the arms or the NYC prosecutor. More than just the hide bound where responsible.
