The work of Art advances....
I am pleased that the crooked 1950ish tract house walls could be scaled by the brave and rather large pieces of travertine without too much rappelling on it's part. Bowlegged walls are not uncommon in houses that were slapped up to quickly cover an housing shortage, after the menfolk came home from battle to build families, in the mid fifties.

Been there and done that! We had our masterbath ripped back to the studs and redone. It took forever, but I finally like my bathroom. Instead of tile or stone on the walls, we did mirrors. Great big wall sized mirrors. All of our windows were replaced too. It took forever and cost way more than I expected. I wish you much luck!
ReplyDeleteOh Rissa, thanks so much for the wishes of luck. So you, too, you know how it goes then with this "delirously happy/driving-me-crazy" sort of job. I will really love this new bathroom. It's really going to be gorgeous. We will do new stucco and windows probably next year. We have to save up for it.
