Second Piece
The chain rests between the two small wrappings on the main rings, and the whole thing hangs Kitty Korner. It really turned out nicely, and I'm glad that it's done.
That one is beautiful too -I love the scallop shells - we only got 2 messes of scallops this year - they are getting scarce because of brown tide here.
Aww *blush*... shucks, thanks... *kicks toe in sand*
I hope you enjoyed Pookie's peek at what her Mama has been up to.
rho, I share the love of shells with Pookie, too, and now you. =0)Most of the shells in the basket came from a vendor in Quartzsite in years gone by and garnered during the perennial Rockhound winter trek. You can find just about anything but stuffed birds at Quartzsite.
This is one part of life I don't want to give up on until my eyes or hands give out. It's really been a satisfying journey through color and form. Glass is a formidable medium, always full of surprises. Fusing it helps with the mystery of it, as you can't open the kiln til the next morning. What will you have in there when you do?

It is beautious! You do have a great eye for color and design. So simple, yet so interesting. The one below is quite lovely too.
