Ya. I'm getting blind and a little woggie, annonymous furry friend. To do penance I will post some real Rhodies in a minute or two.
Good news department is that Jazzie does not have heart failure. He does have leaky "O" rings on both sides of his heart. So, the news is good in so far as he's not going to need any new medicines or anything drastic, like floods of tears from Mom. He will hopefully chug along with his wee leaky heart valves for a few more years. I wish we could just send him to the garage for a valve job but he's part of the electro-chemical neuro net crowd.
Pictures coming of luscious purple Malbrigo yarn from here But I won't bore anyone with yet another picture of a circular addi lace needle. I am going to be making a purse from this Book - the one called Large Travel Tote. I'll put up the colors tomorrow when I can get a good daylight photo of them. The purple is for accents, as is the hot HOT pink. Yes, fool that I am, I'm giving felting another go...
Oh help, is felting that difficult? I was just winding myself up to try one of those wonderful knitters' totes from knitty.com. Now I'm apprehensive that it won't be as easy as I imagined.
ReplyDeletejo, hi and thanks for you comment. Please, don't worry, my experience was only bad, and this is why:
ReplyDeleteI had a semi-mystery yarn, given to me by a weaving friend, that passed all the test for 100% wool... It wasn't.
I have a front loading washer, and we've learned what that means, i.e., not enough agitation. This time I KNOW all the wool is 100% and I'm not going to use my wimpy washer, I'm going to find a DAWG of top loader at a Laundromat and use that machine to do the felting.
Anyway, I put the whole sad story on the blog sometime back, and you can find the picture of the resulting Big Red Bag in the flickr album of my knitting. I'll go add a Felting label to the bag posts so you can find it easily.
Yours well not be like that bag. Yours will be beautiful.
jo, here's the link to December 2006 where most of the info on that red tote is. It was supposed to look like a French Market bag.
