I just couldn't sleep so my thoughts flew to this little project. It might be of general interest to answer a question from a reader about using the new blogger links for favorite blogs on the side bars.
You used to have to create your own code for links, but the new blogger does it all for you now. It's easy as pie.
Blogger is now so much fun to play with because it gives you the ease of never really having to mess around with HTML or XML unless you want to.
The book list is a page element used for links but I didn't do anything with the book titles but to type them into the space where a link would generally go. It works!
The page element, My WIPS is a java script. I'll help anyone with that that I can, but I did post the links to the originator. The old progress bars won't work with the new blogger.
That's about all for tonight. Knothead, I hope that this helps! I'll help you with anything else you are trying and remember, there's a special topic in Knitter's Review called Blog Talk, and lots of helpful people to answer questions. Best Wishes!
Thanks for the tip about KR's blog talk! It's been a long time since I stopped in over there. (Whew, a long time since I've visited a lot of places online.)There's so much computer stuff to learn by slowly bumbling with trial and error.
ReplyDeleteDid DH get the results back yet on the mercury test?
Hope you have a wonderful Independence Day.
Hi Fiber Joy, and thanks for your comment. :o)
ReplyDeleteAbout those link.. *coughs, shuffles feet*.. you have to have a special code to get the names to appear as mine do in the Blog list. That is a hold-over from old blogger. It still had to be code wrangled a little bit, because new blogger doesn't accept some HTML tags now. Go figure....
Hope you have fun with plugging things in.
Fourth of July is young here still. No fire crackers yet. No fires started by them either. Yay!
Oh! the Mercury test.. not yet, I think it takes awhile. We are very interested in the results as we ate a lot of albacore in our day.
