Sweet 16

Guess who turned 16.. This amazing and tiny bromeliad came home from the Fair over 16 years ago. How's that for hardy? Or, maybe it's just lucky it's so close to a water faucet? It's never pupped and never bloomed but it did stay alive. Bless it's little heart.

Also, I'm no longer having to read Google in Finnish. You don't want to know.....

Knitting news. The short fingered glove has three fingers. Only three more to go.. er.. two more.. *counts fingers of her hand*. Yes, definitely! Two!

  2. 16 Years! Isn't it wonderful? Bloom or not, it is inspiring, because I know it wouldn't have a chance with me.

  3. Wow, that's awesome! I have a really hard time with houseplants, and outdoor plants! Or maybe they're the ones having a hard time.

  4. Trish, I gave her a little fertizer in a mist bottle, hehe She is a very good little plant.

Meribeth, believe me, the plant is alive because of her proximity to the kitchen water faucet. ;-)

AR, me, too, actually. This and an aging African violet are all that are left of windows full of indoor plants. Well, most of them moved outside then croaked. Hmmm. Danger lurks in the fresh air?
