More pictures

Of Course, all these pictures are the reverse of what I wanted, because Picasa2 was spitting up yet again this AM and i had to use the in house blogger uploader. Picasa2 and I have this strange, slightly romantic working relationship. I think that Picasa is half human, and Picasa thinks the same of me.

The top so there's not guess work for you there, either..

The cozy inside out so that you can see how the twisting and pulling works

This is the cozy on the pot it was made for. This pattern is very customizable.

  1. Love the tea cozy and am amazed at your deciphering abilities from your old, handwritten instructions : ) I've been on a knitting sabbatical, but think it's time to pick up the needles and work on something fun!

  2. Annie, Annie, Annie! Hi, And how have you been?? Good to see you, dear little Tryker! Good to see your post here. So, a sabbatical from knitting is now over? Let's knit together long distance!

The tea cozy pattern wasn't too bad; I will say that figuring it out from the original way back when took three of us knitters and a lot of brain pain.

I have made four or five of those but that was a long, LONG time ago. So, "I got my mojo workin" and about 1am last night, wrote the pattern out. It may still have some humungous flaw hidden within it, but it's pretty much what I can remember. If there is errata, I'm hoping someone tells me!

Just watched the movie, "Driving Miss Daisy", and all the southern sweetness and natural beauty reminded me of you guys. Hi to your fella.. no real names here.

  3. So adorable. It makes me wish I owned a teapot.

Do they make a cozy for an electric coffee maker???

  4. Very cute, I love the top. I am an AVID tea drinker, but I brew it a cup at a time...and cheat with my instant hot instead of boiling water. ROFL

  6. That is so cute!! Makes me want to run out and buy a teapot just so I have a reason to make it (not that I've ever knitted anything before, but I plan on starting soon!)

  7. Jesse, thanks for visiting and your nice comments. If you might be tempted...Teapots can be found in the thrift stores from time to time. I have found them at a flea market as far away as Quartzsite. I snapped up a white and gold Stadler, much better a find than another dirty, old rock slab. hehe

    Great Teapot site:

You can see hundreds of them there. ooo such temptation.

rissa, Hi hi! The hot shot, is it? lol. DH makes mine in the microwave now. He thinks it fine to do but there's a big difference. But, hey, if I don't have to get up and stumble to the kitchen with half shut eyes in the morning to get it, I can live with that.

PJ, Hi there! Lol. I think that more people do their note taking that way than would admit to it. ;o) If decades don't go by without another glance it's really not such a bad system.

Vegan-Noodle, Hi there! Yes, you must learn to knit! And be sure to see the above web page for inspirations on that first teapot- but check out local thrift stores for them.

Oh, yes, you must learn to knit. It's terrific fun, and small projects don't really take a lot of dinero to start. Note that I said, "to start." Lol. Avoid too much yarn stashing and it will be lots cheaper than, say.. bead collecting.

Off to eat dinner now, and try to get a very small dog to eat, too. He's such a picky eater.
