"The flames they followed Joan of Arc
While she went riding in the dark
No moon to make her armor bright
No man to get her through the smoky night."
To sooth myself, I'm reading Canticle for Liebowitz by Walter M. Miller, Jr. which is strangely similar to The Name of the Rose.
There is a new blog in the list. It's from one of the contributors of pictures here, spectacular sunsets and flowers. I've added it here because it's GREAT, and because I lost track of it in my mail bag! It's here now so that all can enjoy it, and so it will never be lost again.
Still knitting and reading. This is the full experience of the joy of retirement. It's also the excuse of the aged, to move more slowly and contemplatively -i.e. contemplate one's sins.
The big desk will fit into the corner of the dining room, and that means my plans for the big room have to be changed yet again. I want it to look like this picture, but right now that just isn't possible.
I leave you with a marble collection for OfTroy, since she and I share a love of all things made of glass. This will pop up on top as a picture.
As well as a wish for happiness, with a URL that L sent me for enlightenment. Indeed L, Joy at Last!
Thank you so much for the links! I started listening to the "enlightenment" and thought "woah...save this and come back when you aren't so rushed." The guy nailed it, right from the start. awesome!

I went back and listened. OMG, I am still reeling from him and his message. Will be listening to more, much more. Unbelievable. Thanks again for posting. And thank you L for sending it Zippi!
ReplyDeleteMeribeth, I'm glad you enjoyed listening to that clip. At first, I had to get used to an Aussie speaking (I think he is anyway) when I'm used to the Dalai Lama. The message is great. Also, L is my first born. She is a web surfer par excellence.
ReplyDeleteNow, if Krisna would just inhale and yawn or better yet, sneeze, our troubles would be over. ;-) Everything new, new...
Thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteI too, would like a room that looks like that. green and white and peaceful.
Thanks Bess for your comment. And yes, that's what I love about that pictured room - green and white, and peaceful. So far we have the white part done in ours. :)
