The Word For The Year 2009

It is Serenity

I will be working on getting back to where I was residing, spiritually, several years ago, starting with a daily prayer for our new President and others like him who care about what we are as a FREE nation and where we are all going.

He will need all of us doing our level best to make things work, because, if the greed that is at the top where all the wealth is congealing isn't counter balanced by the hundred millions of the rest of us, we don't need an external "enemy" to focus all our covert attention and war materials on. Like all other Empires, we will go crashing down, having tripped over our own feet.

To be aware but focusing on Serenity is my goal.

And those other 13 personal "guidelines" too. Chocolate especially.. just kidding!

  3. Who was it that said "we have seen the enemy and it is us". I would have to agree with that assessment. I don't have to look any further for proof of that than my own backyard in Detroit. Obama has a lot on his plate probably more than any other incoming president since Roosevelt. I hope upon hope that he can make a difference and at least start to turn things around.

  5. Rho, I promise never to joke about chocolate again. R-E-S-P-E-C-T.. Gotcha. hehe. Coffee is not so bad either. I'm drinking it again.

PJ, thanks, and yes, do a little blog if you haven't already. Simplicity is a beautiful word for the year.

LarjMarj, I think it was Pogo in the comics who first said that. And it's so correct. about Obama, I've heard an interview of an ex Israeli Airforce Captain, a refusenic or whatever they are being called,on Indymedia, who was saying that it made him sick that Obama was playing golf in Hawaii while this was going on. See? Obama is perceived as already responsible in too many people's eyes for what is happening NOW! And they feel he should be DOING SOMETHING ABOUT *insert cause* NOW! So sad... it's 15 more day or so before he can do a single thing without causing an outrageous uproar here?

Hilary, your very welcome. I love you blog. And thanks for your support, too.

I'm off to get some sleep. This has been a long day. Sleep well all! Take Care, travel safely!

  8. Magnusmog, Balance sounds like a great word, too. And not balance on the edge of a blade either, but some comfortable place where you can sit and meditate a little.

KnitaNana, I agree. Now if I can just settle down, breathe deeply and watch a sunset or a sunrise. Like PJ's Avatar. I love that beautiful avatar.
