I made a button and put them on top, this way it's really easy to find the link.
These owls are fabulous little critters for putting up with that whirring sound over their heads. If I had ears like theirs, I would have smashed the camera by now. But, that's just me.
Have you seen the peregrine falcon webcam?
ReplyDeleteThere's a pair in Jersey City (of all places!) who have claimed a nest box on the rooftop of a large building for a few years now. They haven't laid eggs yet this year... not sure why. But it should happen soon!
Last year was quite sad... they lost two of the chicks because of a freak cold and rainy storm, and one fledgling for unknown reasons.

It can be slow as it's live streaming media. There's a frequently updated text link.
Ah, Kathleen, thank you! I put it on my "radar list". This is the first I'd heard of it. The box seemed to be empty but then a juvenile came back. I'll make it a button and stick this in the side bar.
ReplyDeleteYippie for New Jersey Division of Wildlife!
Thank you for the owls - here are some ospreys in Scotland to keep and eye on too. They are about thirty miles away from my home and this pair have been breeding together for more than twenty years!

Yippie! I've tucked the Osprey's into the slot below the other two sites for Baby bird Ooogling. Thank you so much magnusmog!
ReplyDeleteThat's an amazing long time for two wild birds to bonded, happily they have got to go a lot of innings in a treacherous world.
Your welcome for the Owl cam. It's on Rav in the bird categories where I learned of it.
