Ok, the Biopet Labs certificate came back today, and it was pretty surprising!
Wolfie's DNA is 30% Saluki, which might explain the runner in him, and 30% Shih Tzu - Shih Tzu was something we sort of suspected. The other 40% is unevenly split, maybe even raggedly split between Chihuahua, Pekingese, Poodle, and , lastly, and least, the Siberian Husky, but ... BUT! We go for the little dogs because he is, after all, a little dog.
We were pretty sure he was part poodle somewhere in there because of his mats and skin. So, anyway, he really does have a close tie to Wolves, in the Saluki and the Husky progenitors department. Yay Wolfie!
He's a real lover lapdog and sleeps up ON the bed now, even though it's a MIGHTY struggle for him to make it up there. Go Wolfie!
Would someone just tell me why he likes to dig holes like a terrier?
wolves and huskies dig dens.
ReplyDelete*Slaps Forehaid* Of course!
ReplyDeleteThank you mz k! And, since we found out about the Saluki, I went digging around the YouTube world and found some of those particular dogs digging holes. Hmmm? First domestic dog breed, second domestic dog breed, both diggers.... two and two = four. ;o) sorry about that rotten pun.
