Knitting, what's that?

I'm not doing any knitting at all, but I did make two little necklaces of that leather cording and two slip knots, using a polished cobble of natural strawberry agate, and also one with a little star made of rose quartz that was the one remaining earring in a set.  Next is a tortoise bead when I find the thing again.

The Jilleroos in McCleod's Daughters wore these necklaces.  They are very simple to make, and very nice looking for an aging Hippie like me.  I also whacked off my hair into a slightly curlier cut for summer.  It's not in tight curls, like my DDs, but it's curly, so you can do a fairly ragged job of it from time to time and the hair is forgiving.  It's too thin to wear very long anymore, but looking like either an old feminist firebrand OR an aging Hippie is a mellow way to slip into senility.

I stayed up all night last night making sure that I knew the exact moment that a house in a game I play was going to crash down.  It was a Guild Hall, and our tiny guild wanted to save everything from it for a friend who had the account for more years than we could remember.  We did a pretty good job against big odds.

Unfortunately this particular game has become a business, or rather a money maker for a lot of people, and that never bodes well for games.  Once that line is stepped over, things can get nasty, and they did toward the end of this event.   It's odd how the pixels in a game can be fought over when they have a dollar value to one person, and a sentimental value to another one.

If this cyber dollar value (based on theDeutsche Mark perhaps?)  is ever to be explained, we have to think of "real life" as something along the same lines, I suppose.   Real life is a game in which to make money, and the bad and good parts of human nature will determine not only how individuals react but also how nations, as a unit like a Guild, can turn into benevolent or vicious entities.  You see it in gaming, especially where money starts being made in the game for avatars.  Weird weird weird, I tell ya!
