Grist put together a little list of quotes, gleaned from the news, of what the most listened to conservative talking heads are saying about the Gulf of Mexico disaster.

Add this to the news that Dick Cheney, acting within the government, helped to stop a requirement that would have mandated the oil drilling companies to use a part that costs a half million dollars to stop such a spill.  A half million dollars?  Unnecessary?  All the environmentalists have been saying for years that this sort of drilling, there, in the Gulf of Mexico could cause a disaster like no other.

And it still can't be shut off.  It's going to be so very expensive and guess who pays?  Not the oil companies.. they don't have enough money to pay for this one.

I can't really grasp why we have allowed the Congress to investigate these things, and not other agencies,  like the FBI, using the RICO Act.
