I remember in the 1990's when the FM bandwidth was split, giving two bands for each existing one, because newer technology made it possible. The FCC doled the new spaces out. Local Free Radio broadcasters tried to get access to the new channels. Nope, it didn't happen. Part of the reason was totally unfair competition from people like these who want to own it all.
Why did this happen? Control.
We have been witness to what happens when tired, stressed and overworked Americans try to get any decent or true info even from once trusted news outlets. What a disaster for free speech!
