San Carlos Library Yarn bombing

hehehehe  I didn't know this was going to happen but DH came home and told me about it.  He then went back and took the photos.  I'd say this yarn bombing was very well planned!  And, it's extensive.  I loaded all smalls for pictures, so go ahead and make them big!

Library Sign columns

Four Front Columns at the front of the Library:

The big trees

Another look at the same tree

Nothing escaped!  Every pole got some love.

Even the hazard fence could not stop them!

We had a torrential rainstorm with high winds during the time that this was being installed, and I think the yarn pieces stood up admirably.  I would have expected them to all be blown away to the next county in view of the winds or at least pounded into the ground.  Great Work San Carlos Library Knitters and Crocheters!

  1. That's a large scale yarn bombing. I'm afraid I am too jealous of my knitting time to spend any of it making useless yarn bombs. I really like seeing the pictures of yarn bombing, but I just could not spare the time. Selfish, I guess (or maybe I just knit too slowly).

  2. I love these amazing events, too, but have so little time to get done the things that I must do, there is no time to join in a group who is wrapping something. I don't think it's selfish; I just think it's realistic. If you look for yarn bombings on the web, be sure to find the pink wrapped Army tank! It's awesome!
