Sunday Stealing, Early: Patriotic Bones? Who's got 'em?

Patriotic Meme
Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard of the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we try to credit the blog that we stole it from and we will “fess up” to the blog owner where we stole the meme. We also provide a link to the victim's meme. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") Sometimes we edit the original meme, to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, to select the best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from this new meme or recently asked questions from a previously featured meme.
Let's go!!!

Since it's Independence Day in the US, here's a patriotic meme from the archives!

1. Are you "proud to be an American"?
I don't know if proud is the word. Maybe grateful that my great, great, great, grandparents were here for millenniums, some of them?
Also, it's not to say I'm not glad to be here but I really don't think the American People are well served.  There are just too many secret cabal like entities running things here for us to be OK. I'm talking about those unspeakable, hidden things that not only run our government but also OWN it. You know?  I feel helpless.  Sometimes I wish for Alien Spaceships to come that will put the fear of God into the power mad, greedy miscreants.  But, that's just me.

2. Favorite Founding Father?
John Adams.  He CARED about the average man, this when some of the other ones were helping themselves to the lands, and taking the best, set aside for the soldiers in the Revolutionary War.  Yes, I am never going to forget that one.  It showed what was to come.

3. Favorite president?
Abraham Lincoln, who was someone outside the East Coast "Monarchy".

4. Biggest "Patriotic Moment"?
When We, The People stopped the Viet Nam war.  Even after President Kennedy who was going to stop it, if he'd just lived long enough, was murdered.  The People did this!  We did it!  Amazing!  Those were exciting times indeed!  Now if you even make a peep they can throw you in jail.  Is that why "they" are building jails non stop?

5. Favorite patriotic song?
I really used to like, "I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy".  I can still remember most of the words.  I remember singing it a lot as a little kid.  It made me happy.

6. Favorite American cuisine?
Hot Dogs, Burgers, potato salad and Apple Pie!  These are, absolutely, the Good, Good Stuff!

7. Happiest political moment of your life?
The first time I got to Vote!  You had to be 21 to vote in those days.  Kids, you should be voting as soon as you can!  This is OUR country, not theirs, even if they do have most of the money and the power, they can be sidelined and made to go back to their tennis on the lawn, hideyholes, and other non-harmful activities.

Don't stop believing in this slogan,  "The People, United, will never be Defeated!".  It's true!  They cannot throw all of us in prison to shut us up.

Remember this,
There's not enough Mace to do Everyone in the Face!

8. Best fireworks display you've ever seen?
The Millennium Fireworks show on San Diego Bay that was put on by the Sycuan Tribe.

9. America's gift to the world?
IF we forget how the land was stolen, and get past that, because it became a take-over model for the rest of the world, then I'd have to say it's the idea that people could work hard and be able to raise a family without having a monarchy staring down their necks.

10. Favorite Bill of Rights right?
All of them.  We can't play favorites with the Bill of Rights.  And they have to include EVERYONE.  No one gets left out, not anymore!

11. Favorite American Holiday?
I kind of like President's Day.

12. Favorite D.C. monument?
Lincoln Memorial.  I've never seen it in person, but it seems so serene.  I'm drawn to Serenity.

13. Your dream for America's future?
That we can become the Country that we thought we were supposed to be, i.e., A Beacon of Hope for Tired Masses yearning to be free.

  1. I love your answers. The "serenity" comment about the Lincoln got me thinking -- I think it's the way it's bathed in light.

    1. It must be so, Gal. Someone commented on there being a tour of several monuments at night. I've seen pictures of it in the rain, too. There is just something about that place that draws me to it. Someday, maybe I'll go there.

    1. Thank you! I think we will be able to get our America back at some point. We, The People, are just degrees away from being centrists as far as OUR country is concerned; we do love it still. We can work together with each other, and do it over the yelling and posturing and pouting going on in Washington. It is OUR COUNTRY after all.

  3. I think our political views might be poles apart, but we can at least agree on Washington being out of control. I never thought about aliens, but it would be great to see the whole place swept clean. They're nothing but puppets these days, dancing to the tune of people like George Soros. I hope I live long enough to see them put parties aside and work together to do what they were created to do...REPRESENT THE PEOPLE WHO ELECTED THEM. I don't know, though, since we seem to keep electing them over and over. The average person just doesn't take the time to get educated about our political process any more. :(

    1. Americans work side by side on many issues that never come before the vested interests in Washington. We never even know the politics of one another, unless the politics is more important than the bridges being built on issues of major impact, especially on local causes. I'd like to see us doing this on a National scale before it's too late.

But maybe there is too much money awash in Washington DC for human rights or democracy to be re-established as the central issues of a great nation. That would be sad. We would all lose if those issues got short changed or continued to be Politicized by powers intent on dividing our People.

I see these issues as Human Rights that belong to Human Beings just by virtue of their birth. I mean, I see them as a birthright. And see anyone circumscribing such rights, for anyone, as being in the wrong. This is far beyond Politics.
