Fun Fifteen
Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard of the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we try to credit the blog that we stole it from and we will “fess up” to the blog owner where we stole the meme. We also provide a link to the victim's meme. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") Sometimes we edit the original meme, to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, to select the best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from this new meme or recently asked questions from a previously featured meme.
Let's go!!!
From the now-defunct: Friday Feast
1. You have been awarded the time off from work and an all-expenses paid week anywhere in the United States. The catch is that it must be somewhere you have not been before. Where do you choose to visit? I want to see New England and Fall Colors, and visit with my niece and her family, after... so I choose New England that I've never seen.
2. Name your guilty pleasures. I waste a lot of time which is fun after a go go go life full of things to do. I love chocolate and would eat a lot more if I could, and, let's see, I like shoes and look at them all the time on the web.
3. The best kind of milkshake is: chocolate mint
4. What do you value most in other people? Honesty, Compassion, Gentleness, and a little Rapscality on the side.
5. Be honest. Do you sneak some raw cookie dough when you’re baking cookies? Oh boy, not anymore. Once raw eggs were ruined by the filthiness of the egg industry, and after I got over crying about it, I don't eat raw egg.
6. Have you ever looked back at your life and realized that something you thought was a bad thing was actually a blessing in disguise? It is, as a probability, true that if you change one thing everything else changes, too. However, I'd like to believe that the "Powers that Be" would have put DH and me together anyway and we would have had our same kids. TPtB would have found a way to make this very good thing happen. And, the side benefit would be that I would have been a much better mother if certain things hadn't been in my earlier life. So, the answer is no.
7. What is the most beautiful place you have ever visited? Big Sur and the coastline above San Francisco. I would say Bryce Canyon if not for having seen upper California Coast.
8. Are you more of a thinker or a feeler? I'm a thinker who feels. For instance, while watching a documentary last night about the Higgs particle, I realized that if all that mental energy and money had been spent on solving problems created by colonialism in Africa, it would have been better spent. The "God particle"? For heaven's sake! Intuition tells me so. Oh, another player!
9. Name three things you are thankful for right now. I'm thankful that I have color vision, thankful for my DH and our daughters, and thankful that a little street dog who came in from the cold, and still loves to be petted, got to come home with us a few years ago.
10. Have you ever participated in a three-legged race? Yes, Girl Scout camp, for one.
11. When you are at an event that plays the National Anthem, do you place your hand over your heart? No, I'm a Quaker, and I stand respectfully and say a little prayer for everyone around me. The first time anyone noticed was in rock hounds.
12. Have you ever been on the wrong side of the law? No, unless you mean speeding. I would speed on desert roads and the back roads of all the counties I've lived in! Guilty secrets!
13. When was the last time you unintentionally surprised someone else? Just can't remember. I'm so utterly CAREFUL around other people. My radar reaches through walls and around corners.
14. When was the last time you deliberately surprised someone else? I deliberately try NOT to surprise people. Do you mean a pet cat? Does that count? They are a lot of fun to surprise!
*insert any Cat YouTube Here*
15. What was the last really funny movie you watched? Though it got panned by the critics, bless their little pea-pic'n hearts....."I Don't know How Does She Does It!" The film got bad reviews for being cliché. I thought it was a little campy but certainly not cliché. After all, Campy is probably how it feels if you are living that life! It was a fun movie to me because I was a stay at home mom who baked. lol!

I've got "I Don't Know How She Does It" in my video queue. I can't wait to watch it.
ReplyDeleteI hope you like it as much as we did. I won't do any spoilers but the main character has a buddy with whom she commiserates. and some of their remarks are just priceless! Jello is involved.
