Yeah, I know the food pyramid and the USRDA seem always to be in dispute, but hey: the pyramid is an organized concept with at least five distinct parts, unified by a theme, like a Jeopardy! category.  That's good enough for me! Click the image to see it larger, if you'd like.

1.What constituted your most recent six to eleven servings of bread, cereal, rice, or pasta?
A. To be honest, it would all have been cereal and rice because I don't eat bread or pasta unless it's wheat free, which makes it two hurdles to jump and it quickly becomes tiresome.

And, I think the government has really been behind the 8 ball when it comes to this.  The department that manages this is a waste of tax payer's dollars.  Americans are better off asking their doctors or nutritionists, in other words,  people who are better informed about it and aren't pushing an agenda.  There, I've had my say...

2.What constituted your most recent three to five servings of vegetables?
A. Green Salad, Bean Salad, green beans and something this evening.  I eat lots of vegetables.

3.What constituted your most recent two to four servings of fruit?
A. Pear, Apple, Orange and Nectarine.

4.What constituted your most recent two to three servings of yogurt, milk, or cheese?
A. Yogurt and string cheese, all three servings.

5.What constituted your most recent two to three servings of meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs, or nuts?
A. Chicken, Eggs, fish, nuts.

Thanks for participating, and have a yummy weekend!

Thank you back, and hope you also have a Yummy weekend!

  1. The government is always trying to overstep its bounds by getting too involved with our personal lives. Don't get me started on government waste and taxes!
