Sunday Stealing: A to Z

Hi! I'm your host Bev Sykes of the blog "Funny the World". .

Pssst..  If you want to see other offerings go HERE

Welcome to Sunday Stealing. This feature originated and published on WTIT: The Blog. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. Cheers to all of us thieves!

Thank you, Bev, for the fun MEME.

Taken from NED the Duck

OK, The MEME...

A - Annoyance: How SHORT the dang days are!

B - Bestest Friend[s]: All friends are Besties!  Mr. Z, Meffie, Diana, Chris, and P.J., all  my blogging and knitting buds, and dear little Wolfie

C - Car: Our Jeep.

D - Day or night: I like both.

E- Easiest person to talk to?: Mr. Z.

F - Favorite Month: I'll have to go with a season, and that would be Fall into Winter which is called "The Wet" in Australia, and the term best describes the fall and winter weather of California.  Months pretty much don't matter that much to me, except to keep things straight, like the checkbook.

G - Gummy Bears or Worms: Do either of those come chocolate covered? If not, Ill pass.

H - Hair Color: Black and now mostly gray with a little black still left. It's not much but just enough to brag about here.

I - Ice Cream: Jamocha Almond Fudge, Chocolate Cherry, and Butter Pecan

J - Jewelry: Silver, because I can make them myself, and I like to wear rings, earrings and necklaces.  Bracelets jangle and get caught in my knitting. Grrrr.

K - Kindergarten: It should be up to the parent.  I had the chance to have the twins at the SDSU preschool, which helped them to - somewhat- separate themselves from each other, but now, I'd "Montessori" preschool at home, and team with other parents...

L - Longest Car Ride: Probably the trips to Nevada and Arizona back in the 80's.  We were meeting up with friends to go on digs.

M - Most missed person: Our Eldest daughter. The older that I get, the more I miss her.

N - Number of Siblings: Three.  One of us didn't make it out of childhood, babyhood actually.

O - One regret: Only ONE?  Let me go through my latest list and get back to you on this.

P- Part of your appearance you like least?: Everything!  I'm almost 80?  What's to like? šŸ¤£

Q- Quote: "The only way I can feel the least bit important is to think of all the mud that didn't even get to sit up and look around." Kurt Vonnegut.

R - Reality TV Show: Zero Tolerance for Reality TV (except for ones like that pawn shop in Las Vegas.)

S - Shoe: Mules, mostly, but a few of these things.  Skechers, Hiking boots, UGGS, High style boots, I love sandals, since you can wear them virtually all year this far South in SoCal.I also like my Tevas, I have two pair.  And, of course, the little plastic things......CROCS!

C/O 7ESL site

T - Time you woke up: 4 am

U - Unpredictable?: When the bell tolls for Thee.....Donne knows ALL about unpredictability...

V - Vegetable you hate: I cannot stand black-eyed peas, not the smell of them cooking or me, trying to eat them.

W- Worst Habits: Delusional Lying?  Walter Middy Fantasies? Okay, here's my worst habit:  I collect too many things.  I can't stop.  I also have too many hobbies.

X - X-Rays: None of my exes where called Ray. OH!  Never mind.  OK, just yesterday I did come across an old Esophogram report that confirmed a condition called Esophageal spasm. So fun, NOT!  That lead to all sorts of interesting episodes of "E.R" since it mimics things.

Y - Year you were born: In the dead of Winter.

Z - Zoom: Where?  Zoom where?  Batman or Superman? Can I Zoom up the coast to Santa Cruz, or Zoom to the East Coast to see peeps?

Seriously now, we haven't used this APP yet because I forgot that we were asked to join it, and it got a little complicated for me to suss out on my own.

    1. Thanks you. With one word cues, I think we can just go for the first thing, well, the first printable thing, that leaps to mind. I'm old so anymore I'll just try to have fun with these.

  2. "The Wet" - never heard that term before. It is the opposite of what I like - a warm summer please.

    :o)

    1. Hey. Hi there.. I like summer but it ROASTS here...so does fall now but it wasn't that way when I was a kid.
It purely describes the climate in Australia and in California and maybe the Mediterranean?
It's two season, and they are (or maybe were) called The Wet, and The Dry. The temperature changes of course but the main thing is that The Wet, or the rainy season can - and used to - run from September to June, and The Dry went from around the end of June until September.. or there about.

    1. Thanks Lori. I hope that you've had a nice Sunday.
About the shows: I started seeing everyone's answers and now realize that I've watched, and liked, three very interesting reality shows without being aware that was what they were. Some, like the dating ones, and maybe "Survivor", no.

  4. I like "unscripted" TV--although Top Chef on Bravo is a show I won't miss which is funny because I don't often cook.

    1. But cooking shows are fun, though. Are they reality shows? Gah! I've been watching "The Great British Bakeoff" Hmmm?
Evidently I do watch it without realizing it. "Unscripted" is a good description.
Oh, we once watched a show that I thought was REAL, but of course, it wasn't a reality show. I can't remember but the whole time we were watching it, I thought it was a true story! TV is SO confusing. lol

    1. Thank you for reading my blog!
My poor kid. She took so much time trying to co-ordinate a Zoom for her clueless mother. :o)

  6. Your answers always leave me smiling, Zippi! So do the pretty tulips in your background. I would love to see some of your jewelry. I imagine you were marvelously creative and talented at it.

    1. Thanks you for reading here, Stacy. And thanks for the nice compliment about being creative. I had a business of making and selling jewelry and ceramics. It was fun.
The tulips are from a puzzle game. They were too beautiful to not decorate something with so up they went.
I've made jewelry since I was a teen. I really love to do it. I have posted some of it on my blog in the past. I'll try to post more.

  7. will you be watching what we can of the inauguration? I will, while praying for veils to be lifted from many eyes, those who hate other Americans and want to harm us. Your answers were clever and funny, and I'd like to sit next to you and hear your stories! LeeAnna

    1. Hi LeeAnn. Oh yes, we are going to be watching it.

I cannot forget, nor forgive, the Axe of Hatred this man has used to riven our population. He must be made to feel. I hope that he and his supporters are ashamed of causing this level of harm to our Capitol, and the policeman they harmed and the one they killed? It's unspeakable what they have done.

The rioters killed a policeman who was defending The Capitol, for God's sake!!
What sort of a monster are they rioting for? Do they not know what he is?
They should feel ashamed, the entire GOP " leadership".

  8. I love your answer to "day or night." How can we choose? What are we doing? Who are we with? Will we have snacks?
