Two of the cactus, the innocent ones, are blooming.

These flowers are about 3/8th inches long and 1/4th inch across. They are so sweet! I look forward to them blooming every year.  Posted by Picasa

  1. I love them. I think it is the combination of the two extremes - the spindly, pokey cactus and the small and tender flowers that make them so appealing.

  2. Oh yes, Karen, the flowers are so delicate and some of them last only through one night. The fact that cactus can live on almost no watering is a big plus in SoCal, too. I have one more that hasn't blossomed. I'm hoping to not miss these flowers as they are pretty special, too.
