They are back. DH took their piccie from inside the house,and we haven't seen them since. Earlier, they abandoned their attempt to build a nest in the spider plants after I peeked out at them every time I heard their wings.
It's a lousy place to build a nest anyway. Cats can get in through a space in the netting and raid the nest and kill Pappa dove who sits at night, usually. One year doves built on top of the havahart trap stored near the chimney. That was more of a success.
Update on Doves:
They were hiding a baby under their wings, and it is fully fledged! It was standing with it's mamma on one of the composters this morning, while pappa stood guard at the nest.
