Real are we, but then maybe we are just a hologram on a space deck somewhere? Why did we think, for so long, that we are the center of the Universe? How real is that? And the big Bang, actually predicted in the Vedas, was not news to the Hindus. Is the Higg's Bosen real? Am I real when looking in the mirror, or is the one in the mirror real? Alice in Wonderland was sort of a study of parallel universes. I'm betting that many of the old fairy stories about magical characters were the same.
I want to be a real human being, as Christ and many others, like Buddha before him, suggested but it's a very painful process. It requires being kind to enemies who just want to slit your throat or burn down your city. No one said that being real was going to be easy, and the further we get from the teaching of the early REAL people we get, the harder it is to find our way back to their reality. I want to live in Eden. It is a very real place, I feel, just beyond our consciousness, as it is in the Real World. Really, it is. The Saints have seen it, and the Angels, who are, believe or not, very, very Real, live there most of the time. Sweet Reality.... sigh....

1. Where on your body have you had stitches, and what were the circumstances? I have wrist held together with titanium, and an artificial knee, due, respectively, to an accident, and disease.
2. Who most recently left you in stitches? Mr. Z and I went to visit my sister, and had a good Chin Wag! We also had a hilarious, skit-like exchange about some darn thing, lately on the news.
3. “A stitch in time saves nine,” says the proverb, which means that mending one small tear in a fabric now prevents having to make nine stitches later when the damage is worse. How has this been illustrated in your life? To me, this means a person can avert disastrous consequences by repairing a relationship asap if it's one you really want to keep. Sometimes it leads to looking like a fool, but no one can blame you for trying. Some relationships are too toxic to keep crawling back to.
4. What are your thoughts on Disney’s Lilo & Stitch? I'll have to look that up. Ok, did that. I don't remember anything at all about this, but it sounds very lovely. I've always been crazy about anything to do with Polynesia. If I have to be reborn, if that turns out to be the way things work, I want to be re-born on the Marquesas Islands. I am a little worried about seas levels though, hmmmm?!
5. What experience do you have with needle and thread? My "I"s are a little too close together here but ......I was a seamstress, earning money, for a few years. I've sewn by hand since small. My mother taught me embroidery and fine hand sewing.
Since learning, in Jr. High, how to use modern machines (zigzags) I've sewn clothing for myself. In High School, sewed most of my own clothes. Then, as the years went by, I sewed most of my children's clothing when they were young, and sewn for Mr. Z.
I also know how to make really good undies, and quilts, and just about anything that requires a needle and thread. I've done nearly everything except to make sails, which I wish I could have learned. I've even taken a tent making class and could sew those.
I love handwork and embroidery which I learned from my mother who was a very fine hand seamstress. She made all my clothes by hand until I was three because it was the war years. It is a Joy to Sew. I'm lucky enough to have my paternal grandmother's treadle machine and that is a great treasure to me.
