T.J. Hooker
"Everyone can master a Grief but he who has it”

Thursday Thirteen- For the Kids

1
And, there you have it folks.

2

Let's just say that what we do from now on,  is for the children.  They need to take over from us, and we can't leave a mess behind, now can we? So, in communities all over, we need to re-focus on building good bridges for the children to cross over troubled waters and into their inheritance, because the earth is their future home after we leave it.
3
Gandalf the Grey knew this.

Heart to Heart together, we shall overcome

4

We do not need to make more and more enemies for our children.  Life is hard enough for too many of them as it is.

5.
Isn't it beautiful?  It's also Microscopic visa vie the Universe.
6
This is Lord Shiva, whom the so called rational minds have brushed off as Myth.  Don't believe it.  This is the guy who built it all and will come back around to view our little petri dish world and declare it, "BAD"

7
Yes, that tiniest dot just above the Galaxy thinga sort of could represent our Earth, if it were even more microscopic.

8
I'm sure this needs no explanation at all.

9
Rejoice in the beauty all around you.
Make more!

10
Remember to keep looking up
11
Focus on why we need to save this tiny ball of rotting rock.
With a nod to Robert Frost

12
The sky is always offering a show.
In the atmosphere is all the air we need to breathe.
If the leaders weren't clueless, they'd know this
and try to help.
Kiss them off and roll up your sleeves.

13
Sky show!

  2. Since the grandsons, I do worry more about the world we leave behind. It will have to be those that care...rather than politicians,

    1. Too True, Katie! I think we can help change close environments and just keep an eye on what happens in D.C., every single day, while acting locally and vocally!
Politicians that do care are few and far between. I discount Sanders, because he was a sort of half blind idealist who ended up giving wiggle room for insurance companies to keep gouging the rate payers. Duh! And now we are dealing with the other end of the spectrum with appointments bought, and paid for, by the ultra right. Can the people ever catch a break?

  3. A beautiful T13. I'm afraid for how they environment is going to suffer under the "money first, resources later" GOP controlled government, from Trump on down. To quote from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: "It's going to be a bumpy ride."

    1. Thanks for the link.
And you are right to be worried. Government lands are seen by the big oil companies and other mineral concerns at negotiable through the BLM and other agencies they have infiltrated. "It's going to be a bumpy ride." The people who voted for this are going to regret it because they will be impacted. And, when they die? They are not taking anything with them. Nothing.

    2. If my own kids and their friends are anything to go by, we've done a pretty poor job of handing the future to them.

    3. I think the best message we can give our kids is about unconditional love. That's not to say tough love doesn't have some applications, but the first is the Creator's Love through the parent to the child. They were his/hers first. They are on loan so to speak. A very wise person told me this a long time ago.

  4. Very thoughtful and uplifting TT. I confess sometimes that I think Mother Earth will feel much better when she has spat us all out. We are not the best caretakers of the grace we have been given.

    1. True, this great experiment may come to an abrupt halt at some point. It does seem more and more likely. But some of us are doing a great job, just not enough of us. We also had parents who fell into the trap that was set by American businessmen, basically, screw the environment and full steam ahead.
