Whether we mother (baby) our plants, or pet birds, or scaly pets, or care for fur babies, or our kicky little two legged offspring the rest of the year, this is our special day, Mother's Day. This day is for all the very special people who mother any living thing that needs some help growing up or staying upright!
Remembering what this day stands for, too, we should also remember all the women before us who marched for and believed in Planetary Peace. Mother's Day was part of the Peace movement.

I'm so late coming back to blogland, but very well said on Mother's day...I watched a mother robin make her nest (now this was after starting FIVE times!) talk about Mother Earth's determination! Love your flower pictures! They make me smile!
ReplyDeletePJ, Welcome back! And, I'm glad they make you smile. About Mother Earth and the little winged ones, I agree; Mother Earth will survive human beings, we might not be on it, but She will survive.
ReplyDeleteWhat we live in is the "World". This may actually have arisen many times and been destroyed. It's a big, metaphysical question that no speaking, writing being ever survives to tell about or give warning against. Tricky old existence, eh?
