State Department being gutted. Will we be left defenseless? Who knows?

Our so-called president is busily emptying out the State Department.  With as cozy as he appears to be with Russia, this just makes him look even more guilty, in my eyes, than he ever has.

Oddly, he has a whole "Cadre of Agency" from various places who are more than willing to forward what seems like an "agenda".  Can the Republican party not connect dots?  Can they not see what is happening?  We do not need or want a civil war here.  But we can't just roll over and play dead, either.

With this I end my involvement in the sad outrage.  I'm done.  I am just going to knit for the hospital where my daughter died.

She was one of the victims of the crap medical care that we have here in the US.  She didn't get help soon enough because the company had it's OWN medical coverage, which was woefully inadequate, but was a hack of the Affordable Care Act that the Republicans forced upon the legislation, that employees of companies who had their own medical plans in place would be ineligible.

The only reason she got any help at all was that she was too sick to work anymore, and had to quit her job because she thought it was killing her.  (Well, it turns out that it was.)
Anyway, this put her into the uninsured group, who were eligible, in California for Medicaid, and gave her the chance to finally get a test that could have saved her life, if only she had gotten it sooner......

So, if you have a stake in this game, wake up and fight.  We can't let this happen.  It's all the lives of our children we are fighting for.  Think of them ... THINK of them.

Blog Maintenance, a rambling Rant, and a little Rosie O...

Today the sun is shining and it's a good day.  Though it is still pretty cold for March in SoCal, the day temps are in the 70's.  The overnight temp was 52 and those of you who know that Lizards need the morning sun to warm up, also know that it has been raining.

I've added security to this blog.  You will no longer see a warning about it, but should see the Secure lock.  I'm truly sorry if that means you are unable to leave a comment because I like hearing from you.  But I do understand.  Thank you for reading here all the same.

I just went looking for the weather and ended up hearing Rosie O'Donnell's pre-state of the Union call to arms about Trump.

This Bigot, whom we didn't elect, is nothing but a fringe player, and is not really a Republican but part of an un-indicted shady network that is, apparently intent on forcing Armageddon.
Have they not heard? It's coming will be sudden?  And, it cannot be forced.
"For yourselves know perfectly, that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night."
Frankly, we still have a chance to save our environment, but with this Cross-purposed elite empire in the foyer of Power,  I'm losing hope that it can be done.  But then, the resistance movement IS growing.  Politics should never be yet misconstrued as Human Rights.  Nor should it ever be seen as a friend to Mother Earth unless those in power are visionaries, like Teddy Roosevelt.

The Old healthcare system, conceived in the Nixon presidency as "good for business" is not good for people, and never came into being because it was good for patients. And, yes, I heard these words right out of that Errant Republican's mouth.

This "Good For Business" system let my daughter die, along with thousands of other people, and it cannot be allowed to come roaring back.  We'll see you in Court!

Like President Obama, I also believe that the contorted system we do have now would have been a lot better if Bernie Sanders had not been so hyper resistant.  The Insurance companies are still stuck, right in the middle, between the doctor and the patient and raking in money for nothing.  Our money should be spent on US!  It's our money!  It shouldn't be enriching fat cats!  Nor should it serve as grease for the military/industrial revolving door!

Don't let anyone fool you with their yammering about Mandatory Spending vs Discretionary Spending.  That's nothing but a ploy by those who are well positioned to pig out at the public trough.

Other blog related moves:

I'm working on the "Some of My Favorite Blogs" blog, and will soon re-link it in the side bar.
here is one that is on it:

The Textile Traveler Blog is from My Favorite Blogs page.

There is a new blog, too, and the Trumpy Dumpty page link will go to it.  Anything about Trump will go on a new blog.  He doesn't deserve the time of day, but I don't want to lose the news, or have it junking up this blog, either.

Thankful Thursday: The Physics of Love

A+eM =R²

or:
Magnetic Vector Potential plus eccentricity (times) Magnetization equals Radiancy squared.

Now, tell me I'm wrong about this, and why.

Also, if one person in the world succeeds in loving EVERY single other person, that means that if there is one other person in the whole wide world who needs that love, they will get love from the very essence of the Universe.  I'm right, yes?

That's just arithmetic.

I hope you have a sweet and lovely day.  Oh, and, Happy October!

Tuesday Tails: Big Money VS the Cunning and Deadly Wolves, AS IF!... Knitting, Wolfie, and Tort report and a Skywatcher Post

The big money boys are rolling out their Big Moolah against the few remaining wolves, AGAIN.    Maybe it's because now that it's illegal, hunters still have a great market for all lupin pelts but hate to be classed as criminals?  Could that be it?

Anyway, the Earth absolutely needs the wolves to keep the Elk herds healthy and the Mule deer in check, something that hunters aren't really saying is THEIR first priority for killing either of those two ungulates.

Here's the Gauntlet- I'm throwing it down!  If you don't eat it or it's not eating humans, don't kill it just for the fun.

My Grandfather would hate what's going on now, and he was a hunter.  He never hunted from an airplane.  He did it the old fashioned way and for the old fashioned reason, to get meat to eat during the winter, and rabbits for the pot during the rest of the year.  He fished to eat, like most fishermen, but they are a different sort of folk.

Bring it, Mz. Sarah!  This is my rant but I'll let you have a run at it, too.

Knitting report:
I got past the first row of patterns on the sleeves, but had to rip back because I just can't knit them both together on one circ without everything going all caddywompus, pear-shaped, or escew.  I'll stick to straights for these little sleeves.  A picture within the week of the progress.

Tort Report:  With temps returning to below 95°F again, the babies have been able to stay outside.  It was 91 two days ago but it's climbing back up so they came in again yesterday and probably today if the forcast is right.
These two little buddies are getting almost big enough to hibernate but it will take a couple more years of keeping them up all year to make certain they can survive it.  I hope the tomato plants that hang down don't kill the adults but I'm not as happy go lucky as Mr. Z about it.  Churchy's almost as old as I am!  I don't want him to die!

Wolfie report:  The little guy is slowing down.  He sleeps more.

Loves Cuddling:

And, he still enjoys his walks, and he loves, LOVES, going for rides:

He loves his food and  treats!

Annnd, he would enjoy going to the beach and probably will get to do that now that sanity has returned within the municipal code, and the crowds are gone.

Dogs can now be on the beach if they are on a leash, in some places.  He LOVES the beach and plays like a puppy when he gets to go there.  One of the other rules is that you must pick up after your dog. We always pick up after him.  I have a purse full of tiny plastic bags. We're good.

Tuesday Tails, a Sort of, Maybe, Abstract Drawing, and Witchcraft with a Watermelon.

And God said, Let there be Light....
Ok, I tend to draw and then name.   What I did is started in the middle with that random little C like thing.  I find that this is very comforting, this sort of drawing, though I do like realism the best.  Abstract sketching does have aspects or perhaps, qualities, that reach a little deeper into the subconscious mind.

I drew this while avoiding interaction (viewing, While throwing verbal barbs- unlike what they were throwing at the fish) with a fishing show about Blue Fin Tuna fishermen on the East Coast.  I like the red crab guys a whole lot better.  Blue Fin Tuna is about to disappear off the radar of species.  I don't WANT to make any emotional attachments to the fishermen who are stripping them out of the oceans.

Sorry, that's just me.  My blog, my opinions.

Tuesday Tails...well, you got all them yesterday when I went insane and post three - THREE - 3 bloody times!  I can't blame the heat anymore but I can blame Elonis!

This 15 minute segment is the first part of how to cut a watermelon into a beautiful Arty thinga that's also good to eat!  There are a ton of these on YouTube, and I am going to watch the carrot ones next.  Life has a lot to offer if you can keep your eyes peeled for it, eh?  (No pun intended) Have fun going through all of them.  These are almost better than the cat videos, just slower paced.

It's not the heart one.  You have to figure that out yourself.  Happy Tuesday!

Visiting sister tomorrow, and getting directions for the wreath made from a book.  Stay tuned...  I'll make one with you, Paula, if you like.
