Mitt Romney. An excerpt from his OpEd in the New York Times

Some will conclude that to avoid provoking Russia — and thus avoid the prospect of a Russian nuclear strike — we should pre-emptively restrain Ukraine from routing the Russian military. We could limit the weapons we send, hold back on intelligence and pressure President Volodymyr Zelensky to settle. I disagree; free nations must continue to support Ukrainians’ brave and necessary defense of their country.  Failing to continue to support Ukraine would be like paying the cannibal to eat us last.

 (italics are mine.)

If Mr. Putin, or any other nuclear power, can invade and subjugate with near impunity, then Ukraine would be only the first of such conquests. Inevitably, our friends and allies would be devoured by brazen, authoritarian nuclear powers, the implications of which would drastically alter the world order.”

Kissinger, that old discredited warhorse, disagrees.  He believes that we should push Ukraine to cede the states to Putin which Russia so desperately wants.  Kissinger is a fool.

Dr. Speaks out about What it means if American Women lose if Roe VS Wade is struck down.

“ I do not know where this retraction of civil rights will end, but I do know it will go down as a milestone in a decades-long conservative campaign to force a country of 330 million people to abide by a bigoted set of ideologies. This movement seeks to rule by hollow theocracy, despite our constitutional separation of church and state. The people behind this campaign do not represent the majority of this country, and they know it, so they consistently try to undermine the democratic process. They attack voting rights, gerrymander voting districts and shove unpopular legislation through so that they can live in a world of their choosing and hoard as much power and wealth as possible.”

Putin goes to hell, but he gets a day off

Putin's invasion of Ukraine suggests the 'peace dividend' is fading | Kenneth Rogoff | The Guardian
Grab! Grab, Grab!!! c/o of  The Guardian

This joke is from Quora, and is one joke of hundreds.

Putin dies and goes to hell, but after a while, he is given a day off for good behavior.

So he goes to Moscow, enters a bar, orders a drink, and asks the bartender:

-Is Crimea ours?

-Yes, it is.

-And the Donbas?

-Also ours.

-And Kyiv?

-We got that too.

Satisfied, Putin drinks, and asks:

-Thanks, how much do I owe you?

-5 euros.

I love this one....
