Nice "Kiddy" no more!

I'm sick and tired of being dragged by my hair back into the dark ages.... and it's happening again....

This thing better be over soon, or we are coming for you, and...

                 WE WILL NOT BE SILENT!

Better Now, with Post Malone

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love to answer the questions, however, and here is today's questions!

1) In this song, Post Malone tries to assure his ex that he's better now ... but he's not. He's still hurting. Have you recently told someone you were fine when you weren't?

I do this a lot of the time.  No sense spreading the worries....

2) He and his girl were so close he introduced her to his extended family, and now his aunts and uncles wonder where she's gone. Have you remained close to an ex's friends/family?  Oddly, I never had an Ex. I've been a very lucky Gal in that, because the rest of the family has plenty enough.

3) He sings that he never meant to let her down. What about you? Have you recently encountered anything -- big or small -- that didn't live up to your expectations?  OMGosh do you want the whole list?  Most of mine concern things over which I have no control, and can only observe and try to fit together into a whole. They aren't little things, but huge things.  When too many Humans act like the greedy chimps that the evolved from, it's gets me down.

4) Post recently announced he will soon become a father for the first time. Do you know anyone who is currently expecting a baby?  No

5) Before making it big as a musician, he supported himself as a wedding DJ. Think back to the last wedding you attended. Did they have a live band or a DJ?  No, but the family did have a sweet guitar solo by the sister of the Groom.

6) Not satisfied being a successful musician, Post has branched out and introduced his own rose wine, Maison No. 9. Will you replenish your beer/wine/spirits this weekend?  No we won't. DH, the only one that drinks it, usually gets his wine shipped (by the case) from a Winery.  I seldom drink any alcohol, though I like a toast at New Year's.  And I like NAB, non-alcoholic beer.

7) Post Malone has more than 70 different tattoos. He designs them himself and is so into ink that he has tattooed his friends. Would you trust a friend or relative to do your body art (tattoo or piercing)? Or would you go to a licensed professional?  No, I  wouldn't do either... I actually have a niece who is a fabulous hairdresser/tattoo artist, and a hairdresser who runs her own shops.  I will not even get one from her.  When I was younger, I would have gotten a rose or something on my ankle, probably. maybe.. haha

8) In 2018, when this song was popular, Sears filed for bankruptcy. In the 1970s, Sears was known as the place "Where America Shops." As of 2021, there were only 23 Sears stores left. Did you ever shop at Sears, either at the store or through the catalog?  I loved Sears.  I used to shop there ALL the time. We bought everything from clothing to housewares, and appliances.  It makes me sad that they went down so far.. and I'm surprised that there are ANY Sears stores left ANYWHERE...

9) Random question: What's your favorite way to spend an evening at home alone?  Happily, I am not alone.  But if I were, I'd probably eat a pint of some fabulous ice cream and watch Netflix or Prime or an old move on tape or read a really exciting book.

Thank you so much Sam!

Three On Thursday: And a video How to on dividing a circle into seven parts

1. Yes I am back for awhile, and we will see how long it lasts.

2. It’s been hotter than the Hobbs of Hell here.. and I do apologize for the alliteration.

3. Oh yes, I have needed this for a long time so I’m putting it here.. and later into the sidebar.  It’s how to divide a circle into seven equal parts.  Yes, it’s geometry but I seem to have forgotten it!

Have a great Thursday!

Ok, we all have been there.... The edge of the Cliff of Insanity

This is not a cry for help.  It is not a cry in any sense of the word.  It is a scream actually... And it's meant to tell all the strange people who won't let trump trip once too many times over his own tongue to save themselves and our lovely Democracy before it is

TOO LATE!

When the only thing you want to do is play on-line MMP games as well as to avoid the news and all the angst about Truckers for Trump, the coming Civil War, and other half assed things going down in Russia which the Mad (Ras)Putin has engineered for the 21st century, you seem like you are crazy but actually you feel like the ONLY SANE ONE ON EARTH!

And, you do all this while the Planet gasps for Life and throws fits because the perps have no brains and no hearts.

And on and on, he goes, and where he stops nobody knows...  Sad init?

I've been reading, and avoiding any sort of activity that would endanger our quiet little suburban lives - like running naked down the street brandishing a butcher knife.

So I have, to my better half's consternation,  bought 1127 e-books at bargain basement prices. and I intend to hole up and read them all in any remaining time I've got here on Mother Earth.

So, how is your life going?  Hmm?

Sister Wendy, I get it.  I SO GET IT!

Excerpt from an article in, “The Intercept”

Full article, by Murtaza Hussain, is HERE

“ Kelly Campbell, co-founder of the organization 9/11 Families for Peaceful Tomorrows, recently led a delegation to Afghanistan to observe conditions in the country following the collapse of the government. As she described it, the impact of the economic crisis there was palpable, with the drying up of cash in the economy a major cause of the suffering.

“There are people waiting in bread lines and very poor children with malnutrition visible in public, but there are also many middle-class people rapidly falling into poverty. This is being driven in part because there’s no longer a functioning banking system and people are unable to access their salaries. It’s a problem that humanitarian aid alone is not going to be able to solve,” said Campbell. “The fact of the matter is that these reserves are the Afghan people’s money. The idea that they are on the brink of famine and that we would be holding on to their money for any purpose is just wrong. The Afghan people are not responsible for 9/11, they’re victims of 9/11 the same way our families are. To take their money and watch them literally starve — I can’t think of anything more sad.”

Afghanistan had nothing to do with 9-11.  Remember what Campbell said...

"Not responsible"

We need to be as compassionate as we can be in this world.  we need to stop letting the Military Industrial Complex ( something that General Eisenhower aka President Eisenhower warned us about) decide our Code of Honor as Americans.  We are better than that.

We all miss you...

My Sweet Girl

You have been gone from Earth for Six years now.

I'm glad you haven't had to live through the years of the puppet show called the  "Trumping" of America.

And that you didn't have to live through a time when half the world leaders fooled themselves into thinking that  there was any real change going on in the "World According to Garp".  You saw things so clearly....

Hope you have lots of Horses to ride in Heaven.  And you walk with "Beauty all around you".

I messed up my theme.

And I can’t get the old one back.  Hope this is readable.  Still working on it.  Tried something from the P.C.and that was a  MISTAKE,
